From this point onward what you’ve said has become word and terminology salad. It being downtiered logically will amp the player number by significant amount. it’s a decent 11.0 with bad RWR that is restricted in combat by the presence of PD SARH slinger. it being at 10.7 means it only sees IR, a marginal buff in terms of enemy type.

It’s not that it’s the best and that’s it… it’s that it’s FAR away from the average. It’s an outlier in performance. It should be 11.0.

It was at 11.0, struggled, and they put it back down. Just like how the Saab J35X was supposedly the most OP thing ever at 10.3 (I can find the videos talking about how amazing it is), bumped it to 11.0-11.3, turned out it was terrible, and they moved it back down. Same with the Kfir: moved it to 11.0-11.3, it did extremely terrible, got moved back down.

I see no real evidence of it struggling. It was probably just an “ok” vehicle with an “ok” amount of sales so they wanted to spike sales by downtiering it. All of the rank 6-7 tech tree MiG-21s are a bit undertiered with a need for decompression so the 21bis can go higher (because its the only one that cant really go 0.3 higher)
Of course it’s common it’s a premium. if the game reward and repair cost wasn’t so terrible maybe you can have more people flying J-7E instead because at 0.7 BR higher you get practically F-16 flight performance with 4 gigacracked missile.

its not rare at those BRs, its more common than if you were getting 10.7 only games… because there is no limit to how many 10.7s can be in a 11.0, 11.3, or 11.7 max game

1 PL missile = 2-3 r60m in terms of game performance
if i have to choose between 6 short range all aspect 30g or 4 medium range rear aspect 30g ill take the first one. both are similarly susceptible to flare in the same rate. what’s the point choosing rear aspect?

And an R-60M can’t hit targets more than 2km out, while the Pl-5B can hit targets up to 5km away depending on the speed.
The short range of the R-60M is why I always take 2 R-13s instead of 2 R-60Ms.

But for IR missile R-60M def lose out , idk why my man gotta defend it. Especially when you taken in that IR missile at this br would want to be launched at clueless enemy for them to work best and unlike R-60m can easily be flare , the PL can actually hit it target with it better flare resistance. What the point of all aspect when the missile itself is shorter range and can be flared by a normal human rage

Because R-60Ms can fire at whatever angle, while the Magics can only be shot from behind. I’d rather have the R-60Ms, with the radar missiles over four Magics that I can only use in a very niche situation.
pl5bs are much better than r60ms
