Hungarian Ground Forces

Well, this is 2A4, and we are talking about 2A7

So you say this technology was exported with A4, but the very same one cannot be exported with A7? And the proof is noone had that in service before? How is that makes sense?

Edit: note that this is not a futuristic add-on armor package, its old and has its limits… Its not reactive, not heavy, does not give protection against modern shaped charge warheads.

As I said, in other countries operating 2A7 it is not. In other countries, a similar kit is not exported, USA (TUSK), Poland (U) and Russia (M1M)

Then Hungary could be the first to use it on the 2A7+.

You can see in the picture the new vehicles Hungary will have and the right Leopard 2A7HU has the kit added. This was a military day that the official hungarian military organized. They would not put the kitted version for no reason.

Maybe, I won’t deny it. If they do, I’ll be genuinely surprised

Interesting thing I read yesterday that the prime minister said on media that Hungary is involved in the development of the KF-51. And said: we’ll see what will work. From the research, maybe the Panther.

I think its an interesting insight on whats going on behind the scenes.

Update #3: added vehicles and changes

40.M Turán I M

40.M Turán I M

Interesting thing about this Turán that it has 60mm of armor and not the usual 50mm. Because these were the early Turáns it does not get the better AP shell from the Nimród and it does not get side skirts.

The 60mm armor is built up by a 35 and a 25mm armor plate.

Here on the picture you can see the two plates.

Fixes and changes

AC II Páncélgépkocsi moved from 1.3 to 1.0 reason: it did not have a stronger engine, it had the same as the Csaba

Renamed V-4 tanks: V-4 early and V-4 late reaston: more straightforward names and the names are shorter

FUG-70: Added a better picture for it

PSZH prototípus 23mm: Added a picture of the vehicle. We cannot see the cannons but we can see the turret and the vehicle. This picture could be used for the FUG-70 as well.

Straussler monitor: deleted because maybe controversial, I will make a potential vehicle list where this will be put.

Zrínyi II H-801: Previously Zrínyi II 100mm was changed from 3.3 to 3.7 Reason is because we dont no if its 100 mm, maybe its just 75mm as the other Zrínyi tanks. Also the mantlet is much weaker. Its not 75mm, on the picture it can be seen that its a slimmer plate. This needs more research, but could be added.

Nimród late: moved up a rank for a more spread out tech tree.

Mercedes-Benz G 270 CDI: named changed to G 270 CDI METISZ-M Reason is that its a shorter name

UAZ-469 Fagot: moved down 0.3 Reason is because of the weaker and smaller missiles compared to the Konkurs

This not Active Armour/ERA, it’s add-on NERA that offers protection against RPG-7s and similar threats. It was first developed by KMW for the PSO and then later featured on the UrbOps kit, the 2A7+ and the 2A4M CAN.

Spoiler

2A5 PSO (3)
Leopard 2 PSO
Leopard 2A5 UrbOps
Leopard 2A7+ UrbOps
Leopard PSO-VT
Leopard 2 PSO-VT/2A7+

Congratulation my guys, you made it, gonna be an addition to the game. I only have my problems with the KF41, italy got the freccia with spikes last update and now already is getting the KF 41 with spikes as well, while other nations are waiting on them TT,

KF41 hopefully gonna be stronger then the Puma since the Puma model is realy broken even if german tree propably isnt getting it, it seems like the star of the hungarian tree so a few patches exclusivity seems normal. I just hope this means they will fix AHEAD ammunition and will make it work for KF41 and Puma

It is nice to see Hungary to be added ingame

As for the suggestion here, it really depends if it is being added as a full TT or a Subtree. If it is the latter which is likely since Gaijin typically adds the Air TT first when adding independent tt’s, this thread will not be going away any time soon since it could advocate for a full tt or be part of a V4 tt

Considering the low number of new vehicles shown in the trailer it will probably be a subtree. A lot of hungarian equipment is unknown for the majority of players, also for developers, so I cannot expect more than a one- or maybe two-line subtree.

Yeah, the new devblog confirmed it

Hopefully, it won’t be just one line, there is definitely more than that. There should be at least two branches, Main Battle Tank and Light Vehicles, to properly implement Hungary.

Seriously?! Why is the Hungarian nation included with the Italians?! The Hungarian Defense Forces have nothing to do with the Italian Army! Are the Italians seriously getting German, Hungarian, Czechoslovak and Russian tanks through the Hungarians? In a simulator battle, don’t screw up your teammate, because he has a T-72 and the enemy is Russian-Chinese military equipment. I can only congratulate you on this recklessness!

Naa, Italy is a small tree and needs some help. I am glad Hungary is coming.
