Hungarian Ground Forces

South Africa should have been it’s own tech tree just like Israel is. They have more vehicles than Israel.

I suspect that the PSZH w/ Malyutka launchers is some sort of fake to promote tank driving park “Harckocsi” based in Budaörs Airport, Hungary.

Here is the vehicle in question, I haven’t seen any other photos besides this one, and the original source is unknown.

On KartyaPlaza.hu, a Hungarian experience planning website, I found this image among others advertising an APC driving gift voucher, one of many such vouchers all linked to the aforementioned Harckocsi tank driving park. I presume that individual businesses provide the photos and information to this third party website, so this one must also be from them.

And indeed, whilst browing the website’s list of vehicles, I found that they own a PSZH armored car, and another one of their websites clarifies that there are two of these vehicles. They are also in possession of a BRDM-2 based 9M14 Malyutka carrier, missiles painted in the exact same shades of red and silver as in the PSZH Malyutka photo. Since the missiles on the PSZH are arranged differently and appear to use a different launching rail, I can assume that either the Malyutkas were dismounted from the 9M14 without their apparatus, or there are spares painted in the same manner that were used instead.

In addition, I noticed that the interior viewports of at least one of the park’s PSZHs were painted in a greenish blue color that matched with the PSZH Malyutka photo; I believe they may have been custom painted from the original dark green color for parkgoer convenience.

I think it might be a creation for advertising, but outside of the recreational website the connection to Harckocsik is primarily speculation on my end.

Thank you very much!

I had doubts too… but I wanted it to be real.
Well thank you!

Also if I am right they sold some on a used car site…

Whenever I’ll update the tech tree, Ill take it out and probably make a “fake vehicle” list!

Also…

I have found this
WM H2 truck with 4xGebauer

How come those Hungarian machine guns have seemingly German names?
Is the name actually German or is it a Hungaruan word that just sounds awfully foreign?

I dont understand the OP .We have had Hungary in the game as long as I have been playing it.Do we need any more half arsed tech trees with massive gaps or do we use other countries to fill in gaps we have in tech trees we already have like Italy?

You have to wonder who suggested having an Italian tech tree when they must have know they could never fill it and make a full tree.

I wonder why Gaijin went for incomplete tech trees? Maybe somebody from Gaijin could answer

Fair enough

At this point who suggested German TT if they could never fill it and make a full tree, looking at their air?
Italy is fine as standalone and it’s also been suggested with Hungary and sometimes Romania from long ago. Plus by old standards with unfinished/not flown vehicles Italy could do just fine by its own.
Although I agree that Hungary already has a nice place in the game, the only things we really need are more of ingenious designs.

I made this post to visualise how many vehicles could Hungary have in game and of those vehicles what versions there could be added. What could it offer to the game.
Its up to you guys what you choose on the polls. Some want an independent tree, a sub-tree or want the V4.

Or am I misinterpeting you, if yes then sorry.

I don’t see how this proves that the PSZH with Malyutkas is fake.

  1. Barely any/no photos of obscure Hungarian vehicles and their even more obscure variants is the norm and nothing surprising, especially if this was just an experimental variant that wasn’t accepted.

  2. That “BRDM-2 based 9M14 Malyutka carrier” is a 9P122 or 9P133 ATGM carrier. It isn’t a creation of the tank park, just a vehicle they own. I also don’t see how this vehicle proves anything about the Malyutka PSZH.

  3. The colours of the missiles are interesting, but I still don’t see how painting the missiles a certain colour proves that this vehicle is fake. (Also they don’t look like the same shade of red).

  4. I don’t see how the colour of interior viewports means that a Malyutka armed variant of the PSZH is fake. Lots of cold war Warsaw Pact vehicles were painted that cyan colour on the inside (apparently to calm the crew and reduce stress), so I don’t see how this means anything, whether the tank park repainted it or not.

  5. You seem to be saying that the people at the tank park modified a PSZH with fake Malyutkas just for advertising? Or are they real Malyutkas? Surely if we know where this vehicle is and who owns it, then someone can ask around and find out, just to be sure.

I know this vehicle is very obscure, but I don’t see any of this as concrete proof (or even suggesting) that this is fake.

Is there any official list of Hungarian military vehicles? Last time when I reported a wrong model of Hungarian ZSU-23-4, which in WT has basic model, while all IRL models photos are export ZSU-23-4V1 variant, TrickZZter said smth like prove that basic variant wasn’t in service.
The difference isn’t big, mainly bulges in the front of the turret just like on later variants in the Soviet TT.

The same thing happens to Israel, the ZSU-23-4 that they captured from the Arabs were the same model as that one, and not the initial model that the USSR has.
