Hungarian Ground Forces

walletbait or not i would not mind seeing italian, romaina, hunagrian copy and paste vehicles from the German tec tree be added to as either tec tree, event or prem vehicles as an Italian player.

There are lots of original vehicles, made by these nations, left to be added first.

Hungarian captured Valentine. With the Hungarians already present in a subtree I have no wish to see it in-game, so just posting out of pure curiosity.

Thats interesting. I heard of the Stuarts but not this one. Too bad that the insigna decals got restricted to only Italy and Germany.

I dislike beating a dead horse but man I would love to the devs add the 40m Nimrod to the game. As mentioned and brought up before it’s a licensed and modified Landsverk L-62 Swedish rank 3 spaa. Modified to increase the size of the turret for additional crew and the installation of a Hungarian diagnose cannon to work as duel threat anti and anti ground vehicle weapon. This spaa would fit great into the Italian rank 3 tec tree providing more depth and diversity with the expansion of the Hungarian tec tree.

An interesting thing came to our editorial staff during the railway landing of the MH György Klapka 1st Armored Brigade on September 4, 2025 in Hajmáskéri. A camouflage-colored, presumably rubber-made additional element appeared on the auxiliary armor of one of the Leopard 2A7HU tank turrets, the task of which is to change shape (camouflage) and – in particular – to trigger the igniters of armor-piercing shells and missiles before they reach the main armor. In addition, in our opinion, it can also prevent drones from entering under the turret, where the tank is vulnerable.
Such additions can also be observed on the Leopard 2s of the German Bundeswehr, which indicates that the tank crew of the Hungarian Defense Forces is learning from their German colleagues. If our editorial staff is right, similar elements also belong to the front of the armored body, which were not installed by the operators due to rail transportation.
Our observations were confirmed by a photo published on the official Facebook page of the MH György Klapka 1st Armored Brigade on September 5, 2025, as well as a scene from the short film of September 7 (at 0:18 minutes), where the indicated tank also appears.
Our editorial staff considers such and similar initiatives to be a very progressive step, which are based on experience, have an improvement intention and can respond to real threats.

In the next update, they’re finally going to give Israel the Merkava I, which was already an event tank in the US tech tree. Once they get over this obsession with making event tanks unique, I think it’s time to finally add the Toldi IIa and Turan II to the tech tree as regular tanks, since unlike the Zrinyi I or Turan III, these tanks, which are currently only available as events, were Hungary’s main battle tanks during WWII. They could also add the Toldi II with the 20mm gun.

They don’t even need to “readd” BP reward, there can be just Turan II “early” (without sideskirts) and Toldi III (maybe not the correct name, I mean the one with sideskirts).
For anything with Solothurn, I’m not sure, I would rather have V-4 tank. Csaba already sucks with that 20 mm with no damage and penetration.

Aside from that, they can simply give the event tanks a historical skin and put next to the name the name of the unit they belonged to, leaving the tech tree version with only the tank name and the normal skins.

I know the 20mm cannon isn’t very effective, but that tank could be added to fill out the list a bit more with 100% Hungarian tanks, then vehicles they used, like the Hetzer, could be added.

They can also add some Romanian designs in between, since Romania is claimed to be also placed in the Italian TT. Stuff like Tacams T-60/R-2 and Mareşal.

Toldi IIAK is the one with the sideskirts, Toldi III doesn’t have them and is like a Toldi IIA with a new steering mechanism and some thicker frontal armor and some other misc. changes.

Found some pictures of the Rába VR (8 cm 5/8.M), which is suggested here as a rank I Hungarian tank destroyer similar to the Italian Lancia 3Ro (100/17), on Fortepan:

The platform looks kinda outdated, probably would be too slow and underpowered in terms of mobility for even 1.0, though why not.

Yeah, and if we’re talking about putting it in the hungarian sub-tree, I don’t see any sense of its addition when the Lancia ro (76/30) exists.
It’s infinitely better, and more adequate for 1.0.
Maybe in the future, when weaker/older vehicles get added, as it looks like a cool truck.

Also what is this T-54/55? It looks kinda unusual)

I’m afraid these modifications does not add much for Warthunder. To be honest, since I saw this clip from one of their Youtube videos, I’m kinda skeptical that the Currus ZRT. has enough budget for substantial development.

What’s up with Hungarian Nasams by the way? What vehichle platforms does it use? I guess it isn’t really needed, is it? Would be nice to have for a full line-up tho.

most nasams systems are actualy stationary, so that might be the issue
