all the HUDs in planes are very hard to read in VR. its bearable with “night from day”, but then i cant see the goddamn trees. or contacts on low alt.
its also visible good enough against the earth, but absolutely not against the sky without the same “night from day” FX.
is there some mod for this, bind or trick? idk what to do with it. on the screen its not a problem, but in VR everything is more… blurry. i set everything good enough, but i have no idea what to do with HUD.
VR implementation in warthunder is quite dogshit, i wouldn’t recommend using a VR kit for play.
tried it myself once, game hardly even worked properly. once i got it to work, i was pretty much restricted to only a handful of planes due to various bugs with symbology, instrumentation, and graphics
Weird, works fine for me. I do have my game settings cranked up and the VR resolution also maxed.
well u need VERY expensive rig for everything maxed. i dont have that. also id say its not even low resolution, that does it.
actually ive found a solution. kind of. at least for a f18e i toyed with - glass mod for a cockpit. its adding a tint for HUD and its solving the issue just fine. the only problem with it - i have no idea where to get it for other planes, other than f18 and eurofighter.
Can you tell us more about this? I assume that’s a camo on WT Live, yes?
Would like to have a close look at this, as especially in some aircraft the reflectivity of HUDs is a very big issue, especially under certain lighting conditions:

Yeah, its a file for any camo. It seems it doesnt matter which one is it. Even a default one. Original mod is for eurofighter, if i remember correctly. “UV tint glass mod” or something like that.
Someone also made that for f18, but im honestly dont know much of how it works.
Rn im at work and wouldnt want to look for that glass mod from phone. But i can try to find it later, when ill get to my pc, if you need me to.
