If you damage an enemy and he later destroys himself or burns out and you change your vehicle/plane in the meantime, the new one will be displayed in the kill message.
In your stats, however, it is attributed to the vehicle previously used.

1st official nukey kill?! ^^ Well Commodus is right. Kinda funny if you respawn in a Wiesel and get a Maus kill.
