Right now if I want to play SPAA I have to hope for the enemy to spawn a plane and while playing tanks I have to hope for the opposite to happen. If there were 2 gamemodes I could be certain that people who play Mixed RB actually want to spawn planes. At the moment you can have games that either have 10 planes up or 0.
I would also like to see the reward for aircraft kills increased, to make the wait more worthwhile for SPAAs and encourage players to use them for their intended purpose.
All I see is “I started playing a game where it describes gameplay as combined arms, but I don’t like that and want it changed”. I’ll leave this here so you can read it over so you don’t get confused about the game anymore. From the About the Game section of the website:
In War Thunder, aircraft, attack helicopters, ground forces and naval vessels collaborate in realistic competitive battles. You can choose from over 2,000 vehicles from the early 20th century to the most modern combat units, in an extensive variety of combat situations many of which are exclusive. You can find yourself blasting your pursuers from a bomber turret, defending your teammates on the ground from an air raid with anti-aircraft guns, shooting down enemy aircraft with a firestorm from multiple rocket launchers, or trying to sink an enemy warship with a torpedo from a fast attack boat.
What is War Thunder?
War Thunder is the largest free-to-play multiplayer online game featuring military vehicles from the early 20th century until present time. Aviation, ground vehicles, and naval forces fight together in one game and even in one battle, just as the real-life battles were fought. The appearance and characteristics of the vehicles in War Thunder are historically accurate, and their damage models are physically based.
Can different types of vehicles participate in one battle?
In combined battles, players fight together either with tanks and aircraft/helicopters or with ships and aircraft. Anti-air units such as SPAAGs and others provide a solid line of defence for allied armoured vehicles against aerial strikes, while a bomber can prove to be handy when you need to sink an enemy destroyer in a naval battle.
The appearance and characteristics of the vehicles in War Thunder are historically accurate
The historically accurate Ho-Ri Production or the historically accurate Japanese F-16AJ or the historically accurate Swedish Tiger 2 or the historically accurate Swedish T-80U or the historically accurate Swedish Mi-28A or the historically accurate British Indian T-90S or…
They made that claim to advertise their game.
The game is also described as historically accurate yet it isn’t.
Strawmanning again, when are you going to address where it says Warthunder has combined battles and that you came to the game expecting something different?
all i want is the option where i could either just play tanks and see no planes. and the option when i want to play planes with ground vehicles there would be an seperate mode for them. why does air only get an seperate mode.
I provided a screenshot from the Warthunder page that proves exactly what I said. It says combined battles under the question “Can different types of vehicles participate in one battle?”.
Change the game to be the opposite of what they describe it as. There is no “old” ground mode. It is the current ground mode. They made it a combined arms game, and they’ve spoken out saying that it is staying that way. By all means stay here and deal with how the game is or leave.
