How player skill with SPAA effects the CAS problem

True.
We could have a Maus at 1.0 and let it cost 500 SP to spawn. When players complain about that crutch one could just say: “your team should just spawn a plane and bomb it bro”.

How convenient is that.
Team argument is utterly nonsensical until we get SBMM or at least forced roles that have to be filled.

Total reasonable cas hater thought process.

SBMM just makes every game worse and will luckely never come to WT.

That’s exactly what’s happening with CAS now.

SBMM makes all the games better.
Competitive PvP games simply cannot be called that without SBMM.

Some people are just scared of having to face players on same or better skill lvl.

It is not that with that in place, balancing ground units and maps would be easier

Not to mention SPAA players and air ones would be on similar skill lvl meaning we would be able to determine that balance between them

Legit, the only valid argument I can see is smurfs, certain kinds of matchmaker abuse (abandoning) or boosting.
T90Official is experimenting with ways to get around these issues for his latest AOE2 project and it seems promising.

But instead the standard argument is “I need to play at high effort :(”

Which ignores the fact that if you are able to play brain-off, that means the enemy team is dealing with “I need to play at high effort.”

SBMM ensures both teams have to put in equal effort.

Some people don’t want a casual game turned into another sweatfest just because they are better than the average.

Not to mention it will, again, increase waiting times, so a no no together with your dreamed of gamemode.

its obviously not a reasonable thought process. its just mimicking YOUR thought process (and the current thought process of the devs)

lmfao saying this as a CAS sweat, hilarious.
people dont want a sweat fest, but they definitely want a bomb dropped on their head.

How is it MY thoughtprocess ?

What the hell does that have to do with eachother ?

What is more fun?

You encounter an enemy player who is able to answer your easy “Tried and True” tricks and forces you to think on your feet for a “last-ditch high risk maneuver”

or

You open fire behind a spitfire and dude immediately yanks stick into gut because they got spooked and have no experience and promptly re-enacts this video:

So now you are suggesting a whole class of vehicles not be played in GRB because they are vulnerable to air attacks? Dumb comment.

No, I’m suggesting that class of vehicle be played in appropriate situations that suit its strengths and mitigate its risks. While a wide open area might suit the strengths of a Nashorn, the lack of cover does nothing to mitigate its glaring weakness.

Well taken has CAS is almost always played by the best players in a team, it’s pretty clear that the skill issue is on the CAS hater side.

Yep, the Meet Your Match update went REALLY well for TF2.

Well the Nashorn was designed for long-range combat which means wide open spaces. Plenty of cover drastically reduces it’s effectiveness and playability. This is a GAME after all.

Hence the desire for TO.

Not the kind of cover I’m talking about. Cover from CAS is not always the same as cover from Tanks.

For example a defilade can provide significant cover from Tanks but does nothing against CAS. Meanwhile a treeline might not do much to protect you from Tanks but it can provide concealment from CAS, making you less of a target.

On another note, the Nashorn is just as easily victimized by HE rounds as it is strafing from CAS, do you suggest that a TO mode not have HE rounds?

Of course it is not as in order to hit nashorn with HE most if not all vehicles have to be visible for nashorn to shot at, while air can attack it without nashorn being able to fight back

The Nashorn is too slow to counter an effective flanking maneuver. There are situations against tanks where it can also not fight back.

And keep in mind, the GRB BR of the Nashorn is determined with CAS in mind, so in a TO mode it would go up in BR.

Oh really? When I used nashorn I didn’t have such a problem.

I hope Your knowledge about the game allows You to do more than 1 K/D in most ground vehicles…

If that was a case, then nashorn would be at 1.0 ;).

Not many trees on the sands of Sinai - which is the example you were responding to. Stop moving the goal posts.

As for the HE comment - now you are being ridiculous. The nashhorn can counter the enemy using the HE for the most part.

This person’s posts make as much sense as those from Pangolian and FlyingDoctor.

An alt account? Would not be surprised…

You are still not going to get TO mode.
