How player skill with SPAA effects the CAS problem

Some people intensely dislike pineapple on pizza, while others enjoy it. For me pineapples make the pizza worse.

says gaijin?

if everyone stopped spamming “ugh, tank only is SOO 2020” it might get some traction
also when it comes to dead ideas, good SPAA is one of them as proven by every update ever

never seen one.
if youre gracious enough to write some if them here, i might understand what youre talking about

avoiding SPAA as a CAS player is trivial, just wiggle around occasionally.
avoiding pantsir is as easy as launching your AGMs, it will lose lock every time

you can hear nothing. and if you hear anything, youre dead already.
also hiding = no action taken against the enemy so he can easily keep launching with no danger of SPAA

no, its the other way around.
CAS is the pineapple, many dont want it, and everyone is forced to eat it

Most people don’t like pineapple pizza, which is exactly why it (TO) is just a bad idea

More than anything, im wondering why you keep being so confident with your opinions on CAS as a whole when you literally dont play top tier?
Considering that is where the biggest issues are and is also what everyone talks about

Then you’re either blind or willfully ignorant

I can still hear planes with a half broken headset and an AC unit 10ft away. You just for some reason prefer getting bombed and complaining on the forums, over actually looking up for once.

Hiding is literally 90% of the gameplay loop. The whole point of Warthinder is spotting and killing an enemy before they spot and kill you.

Who actually cares about top tier at this point? Even without the Su-34 and Su-30, the tank v.s tank combat is just a complete mess.

im not ignorant, im gladly going to hear what everyone has to say about it

if you can hear something 10km away, then i want your headset

its not, and especially not for something that cant hide, like SPAA.
but what actually matters is that CAS shoots f&f missiles while SPAA doesnt, so its a one way fight

idk, probably whoever plays top tier…?

I do remember seeing smoke trail, popping smoke, typing to team and dodged a kh38, but hell why would anyone keep a vid for that. One can’t have that much skill issue to celebrate dodging a cas xD

Should be at a small neitherlands map match as southern team in leo2 a few months ago.

SPAA can hide (very easily actually as it doesn’t need a view of enemy tanks) unlike CAS which is visible pretty much 24/7.

Most SPAA literally does shoot FnF missiles, and a large portion of CAS uses laser guided missiles/bombs.

No1 was talking about 6 miles away.

Top tier CAS balance doesn’t matter for any other BR.

(WW2 props)
And you for some reason prefer to fly straight at treetop height rather than divebomb from 1.5-2.5 km cruising altitude and say SPAA is overpowered.

Why do you fly at treetop level instead of dive bomb SPAA?

One time 5k bomb from PE-8 explode near me and im still alive. So, if you die - skill issue.
Nobody drives around staring at the sky to check if a rocket’s coming. And that’s the thing, you’ve got no clue if something’s gonna hit you in 5 or 10 seconds.
So don’t start talking about dodging missiles bcs it’s pure luck.

btw, if you got third-partied by a plane, it’s the very same to be third-partied by a tank.
Oh and,

This is also possible =D

What do you know about playing a Gepard?

From what I can see you never even touched it. So please spare me the lectures on how the Gepard performs. You can put them right back from where you got them (your exhaust pipe, to quote you).

Just because you are bad at CAS, one of the easiest things to do in this game, crying about how you need a ballistic computer, does not mean you can go around the forums, berating everyone on “Oh how OP SPAAs are, I don’t know how to counter them”

Hello All, friendly reminder to stay on topic, and treat other members with respect even if you disagree.
Also please take personal quarrels to PM/DMs.

Thank you.

That’s dishonest, as whenever I do a dive bomb run from high AoA, my throttle is on idle, or even with the engine turned off, so there is no sound to hear.

pantsir is too big to hide anywhere, maps are too small, angles on aircaft are lost when hiding,
CAS can lick the ground the entire time and run around the map while the SPAA cant know where he is

90910 hamburgers is a normal distance at top tier.

any other BR balance doesnt matter for top tier either, dont know what youre talking about

he is lecturing us on CAS balance while he doesnt play the by far most affected and talked about BR, so dont expect anything else to make any sense.
its just pure trolling to disrupt the already useless attempts to balance CAS (and/or add TO)

… and nobody talking about. So - wrong number bro.

So it’s possible or skill issue ?

“+” radar effectiveness is often reduced, even minor obstacles like trees/bushes can disrupt or block “signal”

hmm, PAngolin kinda right here - top tier CAS has its own rules.

Why?

That’s doctrinally appropriate.

  1. Fly over target at 1.5 to 2.5 km
  2. Cut throttle. With engine off you won’t overspeed and it also helps control the aircraft better as you’re not fighting a giant propeller shoving you left/right as you are picking up speed.
  3. Either push nose down or roll over inverted to then pull into either a 45-70 degree dive (fighter bomber) or a 70-90 degree dive (some fighter bomber, dive bombers)
  4. Put target in sight
  5. Release bomb at ~500-900 meter altitude. In sim, you use the bottom of your gunsight as bomb release cue (you release bomb when enemy intersects bottom-most tick mark for revi gunsights, bottom-most tick for USN gunsights, when it disappears under the nose in RAF (optimally when they intersect fuel cap) and USAAF aircraft.) IDK reliable cue for third person view, so same cue works in RB as SB.
  6. You pull out into a flat, unloaded extension and enable WEP
  7. Escape AA cone, return to 1.5-2.5 km altitude.

So you are basically sayin, “The premise of my argument, , is wrong. An argument is invalid by definition if it has a false premise.” again?

Um bro can you read this again?

I won’t be recording every time when I survive a pe8

the image on top of this post is a pantsir btw.
and just because youre not talking about top tier doesnt mean the issue doesnt exist

no, im just pointing out that youre saying CAS isnt an issue while you never even saw CAS

every BR is different, even though top tier is especially broken
