It’s not really about “one path only”.
People can play combined aspect mode.
People can play aircraft only mode.
So naturally, people should be able to play tank only mode.
But it is about the one path only because you’re wanting only one path…
Sorry, but the game has many paths, that’s half of the reason it is that good.
It’s really telling that here you guys are, still moaning and wanting your own mode, in a thread about how the use of SPAA, and the skill of someone using it can effect CAS…
- Y U NO TANK ONLY MODDDDEEEEE!!!
Y U NO AGREEEE WITH MEEEE!!!
(Edit - This is by no means spam. Stop false flagging things.)
The amazing part is that he is just doing what he wants to portray others to do.
And what exactly is that? The y u no? No… We’re not the ones crying to get a special mode because we can’t handle being got by part of the game.
And you being special, love getting people in that method to prove yourself, but all you do is make it clear that you’re a troll.
After all, this thread isn’t about giving you guys a mode.

If You have read more than few first words and then imagine the rest then You would understand that it is the case, no one here is crying.
Please stop trolling and destroying another topic
I thought that loser gone for good lol should consider muting them and removing yourself from draining conversations with a useless player bro
Tbh the issue is player intentions not being properly weighed/measured when you queue into a match. Honestly players should be able to play CAS in a GRB environment, but we should also have players also queue to counter that. A proper queue system where you can select the role you want to play in a match would go a long way in striking a balance between what players do in a match. We also just need bigger maps, and longer matches, preferably in a EC style format for a queue system like that.
A nuclear escalation style format where the weapons used by CAS evolve as the battle escalates would also go a long way in avoiding the situation we have in sim where you spam your Kh-38MTs at the enemy and go land. This, along with bigger maps that could have some level of AI AA in there would prevent CAS from being too dominant in a ground battle format. The biggest issue really is that they’re treated as kill streaks, rather than as a concrete part of the game, that’s why they have the potential to be so oppressive, because it’s designed to be so.
You know how people handling bad maps? Or constant uptiers? Or CAS situation?
They leaving after 1 death, or not spawning at all. Gaijin added free backups, free vehicles but ODL situation is same.
Why?
Because people don’t have choice, so they finding way to make game somewhat enjoyable.
Asking for TO is about to give players choice to play what they want. That’s all.
But you won’t understand this, because you are ultimate lvl 100 troll, don’t know why the hell I’m explaining it to you.
None of this is anything to do with the thread sir.
After all the trash you have written?? That comment is silly even for you.
Don’t understand how you would implement something like this. It’s not a role-playing game.
Players can currently play the “role” they want by setting up their lineup.
Asking too much from gaijin. They are selling just 1 tank. And give you 1 free aa. Thats all. Plus heavy grind if you want to get high tier lineup. And to get planes in that lineup you need to grind separate tree. In separate mode because rewards are butchered in grb for planes. Game is focused on grind, not roles and teamplay.
He’s right, this isn’t a TO thread. Trolls like ULQ just like spamming TO slop in every single thread that mentions CAS, even though it’s an entirely separate gamemode to what the discussion is about.
Yes me repositioning would stop me from being ground pounded by 3 different MI-28s that I can do nothing about while they float below 50m keeping my missiles from hitting them. Not to mention MY missiles missing half of even one of there missiles still leaving +16 missiles for me to engage with nothing to shoot back with.
Put that clown on ignore.
I had done so before - but must have put a time limit on it. Have corrected that mistake now.
(by the way - have any of your posts in this thread been flagged recently. I suspect I know who the thin-skinned poster is, but not gonna name names… )
Another lvl 100 troll…
Applies for you to… This forum is full of your off topic spam comments.
Projection
Good night, trolls like you aren’t worth another answer.
No, I play different modes and just want more options for people to enjoy.
So you still don’t get it, awesome.
Getting got is not a problem, it’s how it happened.
You getting killed by something you had almost zero chances of countering is the problem here.
That’s like you move 12.7 tanks back down to 3.7 and when people start complaining about unfair engagements, you just end up saying “just handle it better bruv”. That’s a big brain move right there.
This is a PvP game and people want at least some semblance of balance and fair engagements between players.
Initially perhaps, but like any initial spam of anything new and shiny, give the game a couple weeks to settle the fuck down and people will learn real quick. Obviously I would apply all the SPAAG rebuffs, forced default planes & AA/SAMs in everyone’s decks, kill cam removal, and forced runway takeoff before upending the SP system.
Then if everyone has the counters to opposing CAS, it’s now entirely in the players’ hands, every single match, whether they will let CAS become a problem or not. Even you can’t deny that it works, given that’s exactly what happened with the introduction of Radar SPAAG en masse for every nation at 7.3+, or when the new SAMs were still fresh out of the oven.
This already happens routinely - nothing would appreciably change after a week and the old sweats get bored again.
Most players of this game are equally bad at playing the game - I see average CAS swatted down by average SPAAG fairly regularly.
Already done so - the point is to make the mode truly a COMBINED ARMS MODE, and ideally rename it so nobody gets confused to spout “bUt ItS gRoUnD bAtTlEs” ever again.
Naval’s forced default plane system and extension of the existing default SPAAG system out of higher ranks to all ranks will help with this. But I will admit the game has badly needed better tutorials for a long time now. The default vehicles are not going to be perfect - just good enough to give people who wish to try a reasonable chance against the typical reasonable tunnel-visioned moron.
Anyone who joins WT solely for the tanks and who utterly refuses to learn nor accept the air element is simply not someone who should be playing this game at all. WoT, AW, GHPC, Steel Beasts, and other titles already exist to cover “just tanks” gameplay.
This is based on observation in matches - most people have planes in their decks, and most people generally seem to use both when applicable situations arise. The bulk of players DO already play WT as it was largely intended, and clearly enjoy it enough that they have no reason to bother posting here or elsewhere.
My “expectations,” if you can call them that, are merely to see the game fully embrace the true potential of its Combined Arms element.
CAS should have a healthy purpose in matches - currently it’s mostly just a funny or annoying revenge powerup tool.
What is “out of whack” with wanting the kill camera deleted and aircraft to runway spawn?
What is “out of whack” to want SPAAG and SAMs to not require steep learning curves?
What is “out of whack” to want SPAAG to embrace their “Ersatz-TD” mentality instead of have it be scorned?
What is “out of whack” with seeing people complain how they have to go research a wholly different tree to counter aircraft effectively, and literally making it so they have at least decent options by default so they no longer have to research separate trees?
What is “out of whack” with no longer treating aircraft as powerups at all once all the other counter mechanisms work properly and are in place?
What is “out of whack” to want to see diehard CAS mains and diehard tankers off each others’ throats via supplying both stubborn camps with a slew of novel objectives to do and appropriate incentives to actually go do them?
I’ve seen this debate over CAS rage on and on for a decade now, and its plainly clear to me that the diehard TO supporters will not quit being a pain in the ass to everyone else. Therefore, my proposal renders such people irrelevant by taking away their excuses to complain. If all they have left to say is “but what if I don’t wanna play AA or planes?” the only answer is intentionally “you don’t personally have to, but you should learn how in the event nobody else is able to, and someone on your team has to or your whole team suffers.”
