I know it, you know it, everybody know it. The Iranian f14a should go up in BR, but does gaijin know? To simply put, the Iranian f14a shits on every plane with the robust Fakour-90 that is roughly as good as aim120 in term of speed and range, maybe even better. Currently sitting at 12.3 is too low, it should be at 12.7 atleast. In its current state, it has BVR combat capability better than even the F14B and the only threat to Iranian f14a is another Iranian f14a
When 13.7 is raised to 14.7 the F-14A IRIAF can go up in BR.
Its RWR is utterly useless even a full BR lower. It has low counter measures and it has very poor IR missiles for its BR.
Its one effective missile is the Fakour, and it’s easily dodged with simple use of chaff and notching. Something all vehicles at its BR range have access to.
There is no justification for its BR to be raised other than its opponents own user based failings.

It’s really not that much of a concern tbh.
I fly a lot of the Mig21Bis Lazur M recently, and even in up tiers, I have been killed maybe once by an ARH, while I have taken out many Tomcats. Notch and chaff when needed, don’t fly with the herd into battle (as they want to be able to track multiple targets), and use terrain and multi pathing if possible.
When I see F-14’s in the lobby, or know there’s the potential of them on the enemy team, you need to be aware and ready. To say only another F-14 is a threat to an F-14 is just straight up wrong.

it doesnt need good RWR lol, just climb, dump all Fakour, and turn back to base. Aim54 doesnt pose a threat to it what-so-ever.

60 counter measure is common ammount for 12.3 br. Not to mention F14’s engine are super hot so chances are your flare won’t be that effective anyway.

Yeah I agree with this post. It’s also the Fakour-90 it is too op for it’s BR i think it’s new BR should be at least BR 13.0 or a little more. With that being said, that’s just my opinion any thoughts?

Nah, AIM-54/F-90 is only good at farming RP on the zombers. All it does otherwise is denies a bit of position.
I will disagree. RWR makes a HUGE difference. It’s one of the reasons J-11A is trash.

Maybe Gaijin shouldnt use Iranian propaganda as a source It’s fine where it is at. The only thing that even nets it kills is that it has a weapon designed to kill nonmaneuvering targets, and there are a LOT of bombers that fly straight.
