The answer for both questions is content-wise the same:
It doesn’t matter if you like just one of them - Both are part of package (tanks & aircraft and wife and mother-in-law) - they are impossible to separate as either the supplier of the game (wt) is not offering this - or your local lawmaker has eliminated possible ways to get rid of just one part.
So if the package can’t be separated and one part kills fun it is time think about if the fun with the first part is worth the trouble with the other part.
If alternatives are not available or your cant’t afford a change the question is pointless as a lot of people have good relationships or have at least arranged themselves with their mother-in-law, but this won’t help those guys who are not happy with them.
In theory some guys with a very large piece of land and a shovel might have an alternative…
I will not go into detail by how bad that comparison is and how easy it can be debunked. But to make a point on the topic. The topic on planes comes up so often that it is a permanent thing. Its like gum on your shoe. Threads like this server their purpose by making the issue visible to the developer. You whould be happy that ppl do this, if they would just move on the product could never improve in any way and with this ppl are frustrated but see a chance that it might change somehow.
People really need to learn how to read descriptions. No different from looking to buy an item online and reading the description before proceeding to pay for it. Funny part is that there are many people who buy and return it due to not getting what they thought they were buying when the description clearly tells the details then rate it a 1 star out of 5 or write a review how bad it is etc.

I said AI ground units. I wasn’t misleading at all. WT ground battles have always had air vehicles in them, and judging by the poll most people want them to stay.
I see that you are stuck on the title :) Yes, you are right, but when I first met War Thunder, it was “Tanks” mode. planes and helicopters came later. Otherwise, my purpose is not to discriminate. just point this is indiscriminate just Ground battle… no plane. :) Thank you for the comment.

But what I said was that planes were involved in land wars (tank wars)
Air assets make up only a fraction of the kills per game with the only exception being runaway top tier matches where the snowballing gameplay combines with advanced weaponry to make really toxic matches. I don’t consider top tier to balanced because it’s always getting new stuff added that pushes the balance of the game all over the place, you know what you’re getting into playing at the cutting edge. Everywhere else, air assets die left and right from bad piloting / SPAA / dogfights and only a minority are pulling good K/D’s that are worth the spawn points sunk on spawning them. There is only a perception that air is causing problems because revenge bombing is so common. Even if planes cost 100k SL and all your SP for the match there are people who would rather spawn a Fw190 and suicide bomb the one guy that killed them and leave the match than play honestly.
The thing is earth is not covered by 78% water and 22% land, its covered by 100% air so obviously be it naval or ground battles, air support will always be present.
I like planes, but i DON’T like Gaijins incompetence in giving all nations AA capability, means some nations have next to no defence when the planes starts rolling in.
That’s my problem in this debate, Gaijins inability to level the playing field.
Then let’s change the map system and bring all the planes, helicopters, tanks and even the sea together, and continue the match with the tank, plane, helicopter or sea, whichever started the match, the beings who cannot shoot and hit with the tank will wait for the plane to appear in the spawning area and cause the team to lose the match. , do not cause waste of time.
I see far to many games where air of one of the sides completely dominates the match. As soon as you have 2-3 planes in the air its basically game over. The lack of being able to deter them in most tanks just makes this worse.
If the game is snowballing, they could also just spawn more tanks and you’d still be in a pickle, I don’t think the air makes as much difference as people think.
