Hey I play air realistic battles to grind RP and get new bombers. I mainly bomb bases but I fear that I’ve been wasting bombs trying to kill one base when the amount of bombs I dropped before was perfectly okay. I’m wondering: how many bombs does it take to kill bases, starting from 500?
It’s about total weight, with it being around 6000lbs/5000kg at top tier. The lower tiers is probably as low as 3k lbs

do note that the more bombs you take, the less reward you get per base too, a mechanic I call “diminishing returns” so generally speaking, taking just enough bombs for 1 base is usually optimal.
What aircraft are you using?
(the amount of bombs required depends on the explosive content for each bomb, and so can change even within the same weight class. For example it takes 4x 1000lb N1, 5x 1000lb Mk13 and 5-6x 1000lb MK83)
I am using the B25J with three 1,000 lb bombs.
Then until such time that the B-25J gets custom loadout, the most effecient loadout is likely the 3x 1000 lb AN-M65A1 bomb loadout, with 2 on 1 base and the third saved for another base or some ground targets if possible.
You can confirm that 2 is enough by taking it into test flight and dropping bombs onto bases there
