So I recently got my report for the missing spall liners on the boxer variants (link below if you want to read it) and was just wondering how long does it usually take gaijin to do anything about it if ever?
My bug report for near enough every single GBU being broken took 5 months to fix, but my report for the Hunter FGA9 having a missing pylon took less than a month. I have accepted reports dating back 3+ years
Every report I have ever seen either gets ignored, closed with a link to a report that is months or years old saying “it’s a known issue”, or they “get forwarded to the devs” and nothing gets done.
Pretty much all of mine are only even looked at because i share discord servers with some of the cooler tech mods (DO NOT MESSAGE TECH MODS ON DISCORD FOR YOUR REPORTS, LEAVE THEM BE) and it can take up to several years for accepted reports to be actioned on.
Its at the devs own discretion and there isnt much we can do other than kick up a stink on the forum
I had a report accepted 3 months after it had been updated in game.
Another is accepted but has not been delivered months later despite being a non-material bug and non controversial. No modelling needed, just a code tweak.
And there’s a bug report for the Mosquito that’s been ignored for 2 years or more now, and with the new versions added it’s even more relevant than when I wrote it. Pictures, diagrams, references…makes you wonder why you bother!
Plus there’s ones that I doubt will ever be looked at as they aren’t for high profile vehicles.
Basically there is no timescale, especially for older or lower tier vehicles. I have a couple in my head that I simply can’t be bothered to write because it’s depressing knowing they won’t be acted upon.
It depends on what the actual bug is, technical or visual, and for what nation i find. If its just visual and stuff they usually arent too bad with it. But if its more to do with systems, weapons etc then that varies (for russia and china that is) while western stuff that have valid bug reports will sit there for years untouched even when accepted.
