How is the PUMA VTJF at the same BR as the Namer which is superior in virtually every way?

The Namer has:

  • Insane gun depression to the side and front.
  • An entirely empty back where shooting it does nothing.
  • No useless MUSS cone making it incredibly tall.
  • Two MBTs at 11.3 it can fit into a line up with.
  • Much fewer modules.
  • A single stray hit doesn’t usually disable it, unlike the PUMA.

I could go on and on. But the PUMA VTJF is such a sad vehicle compared to the Namer. And one you have to uptier to 11.7 to even find any line up for it because there’s no other vehicle at 11.3. And even then it’s a Squad/Premium one to go with it.

The 10.3 is similar. Not only is it repair simulator deluxe. The only way to get an MBT at that BR is to take the Leo 2k and uptier it. Otherwise you’re entirely reliant upon the TAM 2. Oh and if any other 30mm engages you, you tend to be done. Because any minor hit will disable your ability to fire back, while they can usually take a pounding and keep on hitting back.

you answered your own question

If Gaijin actually cared about fixing the PUMA it would be somewhat on par

The PUMA and PUMA VTJF are just so incredibly easy to disable compared to Namer, 2s38, etc. And quite a few of them are just as survivable if not more so. It has TONS of modules none of the others have, a remnant from when it was way undertiered which means it’s repair simulator where the other ones aren’t. Stuff like MUSS basically doesn’t work most of the time.

And the armor they gave it is also, incredibly bad.

It’s just, not good. And neither PUMA has any proper line up it can fit in because Gaijin destroyed basically all line ups above 9.3 for Germany until you hit 11.7/12.0.

“Namer” and “superior in every way”

lmao. It’s clear that you have never touched it lol.

Spike tax is 0.7 BR apparently, honestly I think spikes are pretty good, I don’t really have a problem with them.

PUMA even if it gets the bugs fixed is still kinda mid in the firepower department, RoF really lets it down, not sure what can be done unless theres some newer darts it can get access to.

Its the best light tank we have for Germany in terms of brining up to 12.3/13.0 to use a vehicle to spawn CAS with. Pop drone, scout some, throw some spikes, shoot down enemy drones. I know people seem to have a problem with the ahead, just look where the explosions are and adjust the lead off the radar indicator a bit, usually a problem side aspect. You can get a nice chunk of SP early shooting these down.

Namer can tank spikes surprisingly reliably, especially from the front.
Namer has INSANE gun depression.
Namer has actual decent armor unlike the PUMA which can be front penned by 30mms.
Namer is much less tall.
Namer can’t be overpressured as easily due to the extra plate on the top.
Namer has much fewer modules, meaning it’s harder to disable and faster to repair.

Literally watching someone play it right now and do incredibly well. Same person gets nowhere near in terms of playing the PUMA. You don’t seem to realize just how shitty the PUMAs in WT are.

CE projectiles and autocannons are the only thing it can reliably tank.

That is also it’s only strength lol.

Sorry but that is just bs. This is the Puma compared to the Namer in the test drive (little house for scale).

At best they are about equally tall.

Allow me to introduce this:

Really easy to hit and is usually a guaranteed overpressure.

It’s actually far easier to disable. It’s power supply in the rear is only protected by 10mm of armor, so any arty strike is almost a guaranteed FCS disable.

Besides that you can litterally destroy it’s 30mm ammo with a 7.62 machine gun. It won’t kill the tank but doing so means that the Namer will have do a repair and that it won’t have any more autocannon ammo (because unlike the Puma, the Namer 30 has no extra ammo in the hull).

Just like you don’t seem to realize how shitty the Namers are. I do well in them, but I also know how incredibly easy they are to disable and/or kill.

However this also doesn’t mean that they didn’t butcher the Puma, or the KF41 etc. All of these are severely messed up in this game and should be fixed.

wait until you learn NAMER is missing like 95% of its armor.

Not really. They have similar durability at their BR. Sure, the Namer has better depression and a trickier turret to hit, but the PUMA gets an APS and better penetration. The Namer is also significantly slower in most aspects and has an excessive number of bugs.

I can tell you have never died this way in a Puma from 500 meters. I have died this way frontally about 4 times to WW2 guns. I have nearly even died to an M22 who got lucky.

The Namer also struggles even when it survives a hit. For some reason, almost no matter where you’re hit, the Power Systems constantly rupture. This sets you on fire and disables your turret.

While many assume this, the Namer spalls a lot, which makes these two missiles often kill you at even slight rear glances. The Puma does not suffer from this issue.

Fifth match after the update dropped. It kills you ALL the time.

Not only do you have hull ammunition significantly lower than the Namer, where it will never get struck, but you also have extra ammunition for your main gun. The Namer does not get this luxury and will become useless upon being struck in its turret ammunition. The Puma is not lacking all of its side composite, unlike the Namer, which is missing nearly all of it.

Keep in mind that the Namer weighs as much as the Merkava MBTs with less armor and no giant turret.

The Namer doesn’t have a single other vehicle at its BR for Israel. Germany does have a more extreme BR gap, but it should be noted that the Merkava Mk.3 also have an extensive amount of problems, such as how they can’t stop 8.0 darts and spall an outrageous amount. The Leopards are a pretty big step up in durability compared to the Merkavas for some reason.
