How is it even possible to earn SL without a premium in Nuclear Escalation

Played a few matches of Nuclear Escalation br 8.7 to 9.7 as the US, lost hundreds of thousands of SL all because I was upgrading vehicles and not using a premium. How does anyone manage to consistently earn SL in this mode without a premium I have no idea. I think the silver rewards for non premiums should be buffed slightly, at least enough to where someone doesn’t go as hard into the negative as you do without getting kills as you do now. Like image you spawn in, get strafed on the runway, lose 20k SL and repeat that over and over. Why would I or should I play the game mode at that point?

Here’s an example, mostly stock F3H-2 Demon. I have no aim 7s at the moment and I am getting domed on the runway by nukes and supersonic jets I can do nothing against. Around -20k per death resulting in massive SL drainage. With a premium it is nowhere near as bad but if this continues you may as well make it forbidden to even use a non premium because the repair costs are so draining in the mode. It makes me dread even going up in br to use my Russian SU-30SM2 instead of playing the US just because the SL drainage would make me be unable to do anything.

Honestly, with the way AI AA is set up, aircraft without CCIP and guided munitions just suffer. The lower bracket doesn’t really work.

honestly why on earth is the aaa so over tuned or just doesn’t appear on rwr for 2s6 half the time. I want to like it but it’s hard to

Even with CCIP, there isnt really much chance of actually attacking succesfully AND surviving when operating near a SPAAG

Just lost 500k in 1 match with 6 kills

The gamemode needs the variable repair thingy added to it that is in ARB. That would help a lot. Especially with the number of spawn kills that the gamemode is basically built around

Yeah or maybe they shouldn’t double the repair costs in the mode. 9k on my demon in normal arb, 18k in nuclear escalation

That too

Honestly if I knew they’d do that I would have said never add the mode. It’s just a SL deletion device like the loot boxes

Not to mention the only team who can outrange those AA are USSR rn because the Serbian modern plane thing exists in the 8.7 to 9.7 br range. I see 5 of them wipe out all my team’s AA within no time at all and then we get spam nuked. Have yet to win game as the US in nuclear escalation as well.

I mean at this point with the SL drain the mode is giving me I might have to do that. Can’t afford repair costs at this rate unless I play only premiums.

Even with premium you have to perform consistently well to make a profit on sl. I think the repair costs are still tuned to a one spawn mode like Arb. Overall the rewards should be buffed as well along with cheaper spawns.

They are tuned to Air rb x2 as the repair costs are doubled.

I guess it depends what nation your playing what aircrafts and what your strategy is and what br brackets.

For me ive been playing mainly with F-2 and ADTW viper zero, i use ASM-3 to attack and destroy/assist all naval targets and carriers, after that i usually have enough points to get nuke planes spawns, which i use to get my majority of ground kills. 2 days ago when i play i ended with 146k sl, i have no premium time and no boosters

I can figure for other nations and brs it might be different or more difficult

The goal is to spawn the nukes and just rampage the ground targets as much as you can.

I think this is the core problem of the entire gamemode though. Its tuned entirely around the idea that “normal” aircraft are just meant to be used briefly to get enough SP to then spawn in one of the nuke carriers. Where then the rewards make sense when 1 nuke drop kills far more than any conventional weapon can, even at higher BRs.

This kills the gamemode for me quite a lot. Because it renders every other aircraft and weapon in-game basically DOA.

(ASM runs is probably the safest way of getting spawn points at the moment for all nations, either that or long ranged ARM volleys, but the intercept rate is waaaaay too high)

I like the concept of the mode, but man it is so badly done.

I’ll revisit it in a year… maybe
