Neither Italy nor Britain have fully commited to what will be part of their Typhoon upgrades yet. With the RAF i beleive exploring some additional possible upgrades like more than doubling the non-BOL CM count.
AMK vs Non-AMK is a major balance impacter, the likelyhood is that it will come to all at the same time or not come at all. At this moment in time, it is unneeded.
Germany was considering Mk2 but has instead swapped to a Phased upgrade plan for the Mk1 iirc along with AREXIS EW pods where the RAF and I assume italy will simply rely on the Mk2 for EW.
So Germany getting the Mk1 is accurate. If that were to change, then maybe Mk2 would be appropriate.
Unless you have a docuemnt stating that Germany has ordered Mk2s?
Mk2 is made by Leonardo and BAe, it is not “available” to Germany. Germany has a partnership with Spain and they make the Mk1.

The Germans don’t use it exclusively on their service aircraft, so it can’t be added just for Germany when all others have compatibility. Especially when we’re discussing prototype technology and NOT service technology.

i didnt say they cant afford them i said it costs a lot of money. they thought it would be better to not spend the money and isntead just keep what they have
and even if it were 100% Germany only. Doesnt mean it needs to be added with this major update nor whether Gaijin would ever add it.
We very very nearly had a way weaker radar on the Tornado F3 because Gaijin wasnt sure what upgrades Italy had done for their Tornado ADVs in regard to radars and they wanted to keep them identical. Thankfully flame found the proof needed and we ended up getting an awesome radar in the end (though I dont think Italy ever used BOL or Skyflash SuperTEMPs, so it just gets messy overall)
so what youre telling me if they wanted the mk 2 radar and wanted to put it into their aircraft it wouldnt even cost a cent?
Stay assured that MK1 isn’t cheap either, it’s just what they made to fulfill their requirements.

How does this contribute to your logic of wanting the Mk2? Germany doesn’t operate it, didn’t test it and will never do so unless things change drastically.
