How the hell do you get kills with it? I’ve not researched the 120Bs and as such can only get 2x9Ms, 2x120Bs or 2x120Cs and 4x7Ms. Always climbing to at least 7k alt and at least M1.5, tried both 120Bs and 120Cs, with the Cs I usually launch no later than 35kms and with the Bs I launch between 25 and 30 km. I usually try to go back to airfield, get some bombs in case I can hit a base and then start hunting the remaining enemy jets. I never take sparrows.
I wouldnt launch C5s at target beyond 30km and A/Bs at target beyond 20km; and thats at target at same alt.
And you should do that only when you have enough missiles and can spare one or two missiles that wont neccesarily kill but put pressure at the enemy.
Issue is at those ranges target has lot of time to defend so unless the enemy is AFK your missile wont land.
try to sideclimb instead and arrive ith the “second wave” and only go for sure kills.
Climb to just below contrail height (about 25-30k ft) and try be above Mach 1.5 before firing. Most of the time, dont fire at anything further than 20km away (either Bs or C5s) , its not worth it, but if you see someone up really high or in a bit of a poor position, id risk 30km ish.
When you fire, turn away, and put the target right at the edge of the radar, that way you can defend more easily if needed, but try to maintain the DL till impact.
Reconnect is just what happens when you turn cold and the target can longer be seen by the radar, I think, but not when it goes active. At least ive been told that maintaining DL till impact can improve the chance of a kill
