How come planes get static airbase/spawn protection but tanks get nothing?

I know this game heavily favors the vocal CAS minority but I find it amusing how their bases are loaded with AAA defenses, yet the tank crews get nothing.
Infuriating having a close game, getting killed, respawning only 5 secs later to here the ominous whistle (when it works…) then 4 1 ton bombs spiral across the spawn killing me and the other 2 recently spawned tanks. 12 seconds I lived for…

Surely the devs can incorporate some static AI SPAA or anything to stop planes, especially heavy bombers, from carpet booming spawn areas?

It’s weird how pretty much every action game in the last 30 years has used some sort of spawn deterrent yet Warthunder continues to give CAS free reign of the game.

Spawn protection? Also in most of the games there aren’t people spam bombing spawn points, it’s usually just 1 or 2 people flying over the battlefield in fighters with bombs attached

There is no issue, as a playable SPAA exists. If anything, what I desire is an anti-tank gun.

How would you even add this?

Heavy bombers can drop bombs on the enemy spawn before even reaching the battlefield, so the proposed AA defense would be useless…

Bot controlled SPAA tanks. Appropriate ranks for the match.

If they get killed they auto respawn 10 secs later.

Should also be bot static antitank guns to help deter the annoying spawn raiders.

Why would people use spaa when that is there?

You aren’t allowed to spawn kill planes, but tanks apparently are free game.

Planes cant fight back on the run way tanks can fight back in the spawn

Tanks can’t fight back against aircraft, which is why AI AA is proposed.

AI AA could destroy ordnance aimed at spawn area for starters.

Player spaa can fight back against enemy aircraft but even then how are you going to prevent the aa in the spawn from just snuffing cas out of the entire battlefield, or how would this even work against top tier aircraft who have no need to be even near the battlefield, this would also hurt the usage of spaa in general would it not making cas over the battlefield worse itself as nobody is going to try and spawn in a spaa.

Top tier aircraft could get their ordnance destroyed if they’re aimed at the spawn. AI AA should only have spawn protection measures.

Only time planes could operate is when enemy spawn is over run (game over)

AI AA could ignore the ordnance aimed at player controlled AAs, wherever they are…
I thought this was to be expected without mentioning.

Player spaa already have spawn protection and the ability to intercept munitions and they can get rewarded for it why take away this ability and how would gajin program and even after all this you still get back to the issue of it being overwhelmed in the way player spaa already are, you dont need spawn aa in tank areas you need competent spaa players or cap players in the air to stop cas adding some stupid spawn aa that is just taking away from players and bound to be riddled in issues and not really feasible in practice is an awful idea.

Maps are too small and some need to get closer to the enemy spawn to make maneuver around the map—Advance to the Rhine is a example; maybe if maps where larger enough this could be a great addition, larger maps means less probability of AI defense weapons to snipe people without the intentions of spawn camping, field anti-tank guns for lower tiers, rifled anti-tank cannons for mid tiers and anti-tank guided missiles for higher tiers.

Spawn protection is temporary and AI AA could only shoot down ordnance aimed at spawn area, not the whole map so player controlled AAs would still have their uses.
You can also limit it to shooting down ordnance only when they’re like 1km away, so player controlled AAs have enough time to shoot it down themselves and earn points.

How does this work in lower brs or on planes that are using cannons in which the spaa wont be able to intercept munitions how is it going to effectively engage a kh38 at 1km its not none of this would work and once again how is the ai going to decide what is and isnt directed at the spawn area versus what is going past it or through it? War thunder doesnt have a predetermined path for projectiles once they seperate from the plane they are subject to ingame interference from external psychics meaning an ai spaa cant look at a munition and determine its land point especially on munitions like laser guided so it would just have to intercept anything within 1km of it which is still a good chunk of the battlefield especially on smaller maps but also isnt enough space to intercept faster munitions. and once again they arent going to be able to stop a saturation attack which at top tier is the current meta against the in game spaa’s.

If you’re within a predetermined distance from the spawn point and you have your nose pointed at the ground at spawn you’ll be targeted.

By shooting at it and destroying it ?

I can’t take this seriously when we have aids provided by the game itself that will tell you how/when to release your ordnance in order to hit a specific point you want.

Anything within 1km that is aimed at the spawn area.
AI AA that has aimbot will certainly be able to destroy ordnance at will, that 1km distance was just a placeholder value.
