How can i get bug reports taken seriously?

i’ve made multiple bug reports on 3BM22 and 3BM15 shells not working. They do 0 spalling and also pass through the entire tank without doing damage to anything.

I have made the reports over several months with concrete proof but i have gotten no response.

How can i make sure that someone at gaijin sees my post?

You clearly have genuine intent and surely aren’t just having an immature laugh.

Want that? Bring issues which please them, then they’ll be seriously looking into it.

Usually, bug reports take longer to address if they are not noted as “do you experience this problem?” with a large number of people experiencing it. So no, you can’t get your report to developers any quicker. If 1k people report a problem, that will be dealt with first.

Lol thats so wrong. I used to yeah and I’m not lvl 14. That website doesn’t even show half the information. Also very much not an American main.

Just realized you got the wrong guy. My name was with only capital H… Not the capital agent.

Lol sorry.

The 3BM22 and 3BM15 APFSDS shells are “Short Rod” ammunition, meaning their tip is the only penetrator. They rely on mass and other factors when penetrating to do damage.

Every other APFSDS in-game (nearly) is a “Long Rod”. Long Rod APFSDS has a stupidly noob friendly spall calculation that only takes residual penetration after hitting a plate and translates that directly into spall, except for overpens. This means that a 10mm plate, seen below, can generate thousands of fragments despite it logically being impossible.

The plate behind the Merkava Mk 3’s engine, in this example, is 10mm RHA. Despite the shell only punching a pinhole-sized gap into the armor, it generates spall as if it went through a Maus.

Look at my previous post. I showed a replay there and you will see that it’s broken. It doesn’t produce even a tiny amount of spalling. It’s worse than apcr.

If you have any questions about reporting or wonder about any specific report then you can send a private message to one of the Technical Moderators to ask about it. You can find all the teams and the areas they handle listed here: (Who is who and Reporting Procedure). If you don’t get an answer within a few days you can add more moderators from the list to the original message instead of sending a new message (that way you preserve the date of the message and it doesn’t look like a new request), adding one or two moderators to the message every 2-3 days or so until you get an answer.

Please do not to add the seniors until you have tried all other regular moderators, the Seniors likely won’t answer unless they are added and pinged by the regular moderators but if you’ve tried them all then you can add the seniors.

Rounds do not spall, armor spalls.
So any report falsely claiming that a round should spall itself is not a bug report because it doesn’t understand what spalling is.

3BM22 creates fragments, and the armor it penetrates creates spalling. Now this may or may not be combined in War Thunder, but the words still mean specific things.

ok good for you. Everyone knows what i mean. Look at my other post and you can see for yourself.

I disagree - the bug reports are mainly processed if:

  1. Players have a higher SL/RP income as a result of the bug - or
  2. A large number of players is directly or indirectly affected and they are actually aware of this - or
  3. The bug itself is game breaking in the sense of being accessible and playable - or
  4. Popular (premium) vehicles are not working properly (which reduces the demand for these vehicles) - or
  5. Vehicles from specific nations can be buffed or nerfed in order to adjust their “target SL/RP income” to gaijin’s goals without touching their BR - or

…this list is endless.

The bottom line is clearly the economic & reputation impact for gaijin and the adherence to internally set parameters. In other words: Things that might hurt gaijin direct or indirect have priority #1 - if just players are negatively affected the priority is lower.

This is of course just my personal and subjective perception - but everybody with a certain level of common sense would act similar - the goal of the game is to earn money; customer satisfaction is important but not decisive if the majority of customers is not aware of bugs with negative impact on their game play.

For the usual suspects feeling the need to response with funny tinfoil hat memes:

Just think about why gaijin needed years to fix the RP bug (RP lost in subsequent matches) - and why they had the resources to fix the RP exploit by a few VTOL pilots (take-off & landing in infinite loops in Air RB) within days.

well the armor spalls based on the round that penetrates it and the residual penetration power of that round so the round determines how much spall the armor should become. So while technically semantically the round doesn’t spall it does create spall.
