Yeah, Only APDSFS in this case.
It was unintentional
I don’t believe that for a second. Any reasonable person should be highly suspicious.
Ammo loadout for soviet 125mm (and related developments like the 292) guns shouldn’t make a difference between the tank exploding or not.
The darts are all surrounded by additional propellant grains, so they will explode just like the charges do. HE ammo is self explanatory.
Ive had instances where when aiming in the same spot, 1 tow will hit the dirt, the may not, super annoying.
But yea, the 292 is thick skulled and is oddly suited to protect against top attack, but its not that wide of a plate, so why does it really want to denonate above it
Like if I dont know.
It quite literally was you’re just being a schizo
No, I exist to state the obvious.
I am Captain Obvious.
And it’s obvious that both of your deaths were entirely your fault.
Ok? Never said otherwise?
Does anyone know how Gaijin even models their ATGMs? Like what process they use to tune? If it is just them not modeling them correctly (in a “they don’t know exactly how to do it yet” way), then couldn’t they get second opinions on how to code their guidance?
Or at minimum, knowing how they’re modeled would allow for people who use the CDK to adjust the missiles and then propose changes.
ATGMs and SAMs should be using a flight model similar to AAMs like the Sidewinder, but SACLOS guidance and bad PID term tuning is holding the percormance back greatly.
I’d fiddle with the PID terms in the CDK files. Unfortunately, PID tuning is a mix of arcane magic, human intuition and heavy maths, so it may take some time for even one missile to fly nicely. The guidance issue is sadly impossible to fix without the snail adding FCS “auto track*” for ATGM vehicles.
There’s also a server tick rate issue that just cannot be fixed from a CDK perspective.
*not actually automatic tracking, instead the vehicles just rotates the turret at a recorded rate to compensate for enemy movement. For the M3, this would let you put the crosshair on the target and smoothly give the missile corrective commands, instead of the staccato jerky motion we have now.
