How are they actually going to balance the F-117

How the **** do you find this to be overpowered

Where else would it be? It has a poor payload, no offensive armament, and it isn’t supersonic.

you see, its overpowered because it can absolutely do nothing in air rb except destroy a couple howitzers max

Litterally 2 🤣

yes because it only has 2 bombs

Depending on the bombs and the score multiplier? Quite sufficient.

The p-51H can instakill bases with 2 firebombs and almost max out on reward (max reward is 13.2K sl/15 min for 1050 score, I got 11.4k with 400 sth score).

Lets compare them briefly

Su-34

  • 10 hard points able to carry a combo of up to 6x R-73 or 8x R-77s from what I can tell.
  • Likely a decent radar
  • overall good handling, not top tier dogfighter but certainly a top tier BVR Truck.

Im guessing 13.3-13.7

F-117

  • Subsonic
  • No CMs
  • No Guns
  • No AAMs
  • Max payload, 2x GBUs in a variety of sizes up to the 2k Paveway

Im guessing 8.7 +/- 0.3 BR based upon the placement of the Buc S1

no napalm so you’re 1 bomb short

Im hoping they give the F-117 Bunkerbuster bombs that have a high damage multiplier vs bases, so 2x bombs is just enough for a base

don’t forget the F-117 also doesn’t have an RWR

Really? Now that im surprised about, figured it would.

RWR as a tool isn’t needed in modern jet warfare with ECM suites

RWR…it didn’t…but it did…

Early aircraft had RLS (Radar Location System) with retractable antenna under the wings.

The origins of these is a mystery of its own as Lockeheed engineers don’t attribute them to any buiild equipment. Did the airforce add them themselves? Was it so secret it stil can’t be discussed? Why where they later removed/sealed shut? Was there a replacement piece of equipment?

The Nighthawk is a gift that keeps on giving.

I can see that being enough to give it a very weak RWR at the very least

theres some dispute about it with some accounts sharing, in that era RWR were all antennas that were protrusions so they omitted them in an effort for maximum stealth.

Others claim that it had a RWR that could be deployed but made it more visible so it was usually hidden during active penetrations.

Very little for sure, but I believe it didn’t, as during penetration would be the obvious time you’d want to know if someone was seeing you… but 🤷🏻‍♂️

It compromises stealth when deployed however, so I don’t think it would be that helpful regardless. Perhaps only in a sim map environment where ranges are so long that you can relocate much easier.

The entire aircraft is going to be niche, so I just see them giving it some minor benefit of the doubts like a very weak RWR over none at all.

Probably for gaijin to test stealth mechanics

My guess is 9.3. Not sure how well this thing is going to be. You get two bombs so maybe 400RP per run and 800 SL ? maybe fun in arcade battles but defiantly not something to use to grind with in rb or sim. Overall i dont think this will really be a fun addition.

Yeah. It would be like countermeasures to simulate its being hard to lock/maintain, technically not really historically accurate but it’s still a game and we’re limited by the engine/interface so it’s not perfect.
