What radar missiles exist at 8.x outside the Vautour? Oh right, none.
Radar missiles are not and have never been the only threat.
Guns and IR missiles are a threat, and stealth doesn’t do anything against those.
The engines spew the IR signature upward which again doesn’t matter with aircraft fired IR missiles.
You are over-estimating F-117’s capability, by far.

I was expecting it as an event maybe, just to test stealth but for the most part to be a meme aircraft. One only rarely seen in Sim and occasionally in ARB
and was essentially unceremoniously retired from frontline service shortly afterwards.

not talking about radar missiles, i’m talking about radar detection.
the issue isn’t necessarily shooting it down, it’s finding it to shoot it down. below a certain BR, besides visually, that is virtually impossible. and you still need to catch up to the paveway slinging stealth aircraft that’s at 7km up. to even begin to try to shoot it down
Radar detection does not matter in air RB.
You know how often I used my Mirage 3C’s radar? 3 times at most due to one last guy.
Finding the F-117 is as easy as finding any other bomber in the game.
Similar state to A-4E Early in grb, if the pilot doesn’t descend he will be basically untouchable by gun SPAAs at its br

in ARB, most dont even have radar to begin with at 8.7
And in GRB its hard to place it above 10.0/10.3? Where I may be using something like the Hunter for CAP which doesnt even have a radar to begin with.
I think the Stealth will be a gimmick and the funny thing is that it will mostly face aircraft that dont even have radars. Only slightly concern is something like the Stormer HVMs IRST not getting a lock “if” they model the IR sig stuff right, which they havent on most aircraft

yes in RB you can just see it. unless (because stealth) they make the name not show up until you’re super close to it.
In sim, you can’t. You NEED the radar. So the F-117 can just zombie mode to the enemy base and then come back over and over because no one can actually find the damn thing

Are you serious? How do you find a F-86K or a F-3D? Guess what??? You find the F-117 the same way! This is literally the first time ever that I agree with alvis, 8.3 would be fine since it gets very little bombs, is subsonic, doesnt have a way to kill other planes, and the stealth literally doesnt matter in air RB besides that radars cant see you but at 8.3 nobody is seeing people with radars anyway!

Even in Sim, its not that big of a deal. At 8.7 most things dont even have a radar to begin with, if this thing was taking out 3 bases per sortie, it could be an issue, but if its taking out even 1 then its doing very well
And I doubt it would be good in sim either. If it’s facing supersonic planes, it would be very bad.
You don’t need a radar to spot planes in sim, especially since lower BR jet matches exist.
