How about replacing all gamemodes with Enduring Confrontation PvE

The only thing taht could decide that would be a testrun.

Like testrun of forcing everyone to play PvE only?

Yeah sure, just make it Sea of Thieves style where you have the option for PvPvE or just PvE, and to balance it ig theres a severe RP penalty past rank V in the PvE

Instead of replacing literally everything, actually give players who want to play PvP the chance to do that rather than a just “I want PvE so give me”

On one side you want the freedom for PvP on the other you want to screw over PvE players by limiting severly there progression. You´re not helping your case.

Eh it’s only fair, we all had to work our way up through the ranks with PvP. If that offends you you can always just go for assault

The fact you couldn’t see that that was intended as an obvious joke makes me slightly worried about you and slightly worried about my humor

PvE can have its place in WT, and honestly it would do ARB a massive favor and get rid of 90% of the fighters with napalm, though Gaijin would need an AI model that matches genuine players. However, PvP has its place here already, and you are actively advocating to remove an entire mode already here and locking WT into such a monotonous gamemode. AI can’t bring Pumas to top tier and run around an Abrams, players can. Locking a game into only AI v Player removes almost all humanity from the game.

Hell, if we want to get into genuine AI models like ChatGPT or DeepSeek, the increasing reliance on AI is starting to remove the human aspect from anything. Art for example, it’s a fun and rewarding process that many become skilled at that now any gangoon can go onto a website, type “draw me an XYZ”, and try to pass it off as their own. Locking anything into AI removes what allows us humans to be human, it removes the emotion and joy from things. Zombies in CoD works fine because it’s not something you’re locked into. PvE in Helldivers works well because the players still have the ability to do goofy things. WarThunder is not a game that has a model to allow for this, and as such: you may have your PvE, just don’t take away my PvP

ah yes, lets turn a pvp game into pve

just add pvpve mode, like air sim ec, to the rest of the gamemodes, and the game will turn a little bit more enjoyable

Nobody should work there way up, its a videogame after all. The only reason why we have such forced progression in the first place is do to the “Free”-to-Play monetization.

Point taken, PvP shouldn´t be removed. But i think it should be religated to side gamemodes, dedicated to fair play, without CAS and balancing free of the whole “Realistic” thing.

Hmm I like the combined PVP/PVE format of SIM EC, as it does create a more objective focused gameplay that leaves space for attackers and bombers.

However the option of a PVE mode would be good for all the people in unspaded aircraft lacking critical mission equipment, things like Flares, bombs, rockets and missiles. As lacking these basic pieces of equipment places them at non-skill-based disadvantage against an opponent. And that’s not something that should factor into a fight between two opponents.
So a PVE mode for basic grind would be good.

Make of this what you will:
The game should not be balanced

How do I mean that?
By locking vehicles into the current BR system it removes many of the advantages they had IRL for the sake of “balance”

As for this

Helldivers II, CoD Zombies, Payday 2. Almost every PvE game (all three of which are P2P btw, it’s not linited to F2P games) already has a progression system, Warthunder is no different. The progression system of Warthunder is intended and built so that you are learning how to play as you grind. Are the requirements to high? Yes, definitely, but there’s a reason it’s like that (and then they go and sell the F/A-18C for $80)

This is an extreme example right here, but when the Colonists entered America, they pushed the Indigenous to the side, rather than allowing for equality. Do not start pushing something already here to the side because you want something, push for equality between PvE and PvP

Yeah, uh as big of an issue CAS is, remember when we could send tanks flying with Napalm?
As I said in my edit: don’t take the human aspect away from Warthunder

As someone who plays games since the golden times and peak of gameing (90s and early 2000s), i know progression systems are neither needed nor a garantied improvement. Like, seriously, nobody wins from content being locked, besides companies who can put a price on it. Thats why progression systems end up in pretty much every game these days. Artifical inflation of playtime and/or monetization of selected ingame content. I really miss the time where you bought a game and everything was there, just one cheatcode away, if you didn´t like the progression system.

Also the learning argument is nonsesne, i have half the game vehicles and can say, playing the A7V and the Leopard 2A7V is like playing 2 different games.

And fine, have a EC PvP, i brought that only PvE, only up, because Gaijin always complains about playercount and how much work everything always would be. Argumenting that they could reduce the load by streamlining the game into a singel mode, where they have much easier time balancing and finetuning things, because they have full control of one side of the party, sounded good to me.

The learning argument is towards technologies, not gameplay. A Spitfire can’t fire AMRAAMs yk

“Fine, here’s a reservation”
Stop forcing PvP out to drive PvE dominance in. I have never seen a single case of any Gaijin employee getting annoyed by the workload of working on WT, but I also have only used the forums for a year.

I disagree because there should still be a place for shorter non EC matches outside of arcade in WT. sometimes I want to fly, but I don’t want to do it for 30+ minutes, and air RB matches fill that niche.

I’d love to see air RB EC alongside a fixed standard air RB. However, we would need a lot of gameplay changes for that to work best.

As for ground, who knows. EC would be hard to implement there.

Gaijin is somewhat allergic of adding new gamemodes. They go even so far to rather make games that should be WT additions instead (Enlisted, Aces of War Thunder).

I´m also jaded from the constant PvP in this game. Nothing is more fun ruining, then another player. I play all games i have as easy as possible, not a fan of challenge and hard work is better reserved for the necessary/reality.

But thats besides the point. Point is, gaijin does this obviously only for money, if there ever was any passion, its long gone.
So i have to bring up some financial incentives, or gaijin won´t even bat an eye.

Not that any of this is unpresidented.

Helicopters have gone from a clone of Air AB/RB to some wierd EC AB/RB mix to the helicopter PvE we have now. Gaijin usualy changes or outright replaces what is there. A permanent addition is rare, sadly.
And one of there primary arguments is always playercount. What isn´t an argument anymore, though. If you ask me.

I only play AB. RB and SM is to slow and complicated/frustrating for me.
So yea, i would love to see an all vehicle EC for AB/RB/SM being PvE.
So i can have fun playing all the vehicles, in there entirety, undisturbed by tryhards and sweatlords.

Doesn´t have to be a replacement. But knowing gaijin for years now. Permanent additions are rare, so something probably has to go for a new gamemode.

No.

For one:

Enduring Confrontation is a PvPvE game mode. it is the same as Dota 2, LoL and any of the like.

In Dota 2/LoL, you have heroes who rather than hunt enemy heroes instead go and rat their towers while the enemy is distracted to gain map control. There are heroes who go to take out strategic objectives (unlock greater resources for the team and deny it to the enemy) and there are heroes who perform tactical objectives (there’s a fight about to break out near bottom lane, so they go and push top lane rax knowing it won’t fall but make bottom lane enemy split up to respond to them, thus giving victory to their own team on both fronts).

We have the same in Enduring confrontation, just nowhere as sophisticated.

You have long-term objectives that lead to victory (ticket drains), you have short-term objectives that give space to gain those long-term objectives (kill enemy fighters so your bombers are unbothered) and there is direct contests over objectives. Some players fight to give space (fighters), some players fight to directly gain tickets (bombers/attackers/multiurole).

I have zero interest in PvE game modes as a Sim EC enjoyer.
Well, I like PvE as an occasional re-enactment event by the likes of Krab and Wing, but not as my main serving.

What I love about prop tier sim EC is that my actions have consequences beyond just random team death match. Did I intercept an enemy bomber that was going for our ground troops? I just saved a ton of tickets. Am I flying with a friendly bomber about to take out a ton of tanks? Well, indirectly I helped gain a ton of tickets by scaring off/distracting the enemy hellcat.

You don’t get this in PvE. You don’t get this in random team death matches either.

Play lower tiers then, where skill actually matters and not many of the tryhards are as they’re too busy with their F-16s and Eurofighters

If the gameplay is too slow, just climb and watch youtube or smth

I don’t know if it’s here, but if there’s a PVE helicopter, why isn’t there a PVE tank battle? I think a lot of players would welcome playing against NPCs and they would earn more both Silver Lions and research points, and most importantly, people wouldn’t be so nervous there, as is the case in ground battles when you meet unreliable players. That way, everyone would play their own way in PVE and be at peace.

There is, but its the same format as air PvE. It’s not played that much because of poor balance and rewards.

it is called ground assult

Well, I don’t know, man, they play PVE from helicopters on BR 8.x-9.7, the battle lasts almost 3 hours and you can enjoy the game more in peace and you can get decent silver lions there, even for 300,000 lions without a premium and a booster. In normal tank battles, you get knocked out every 1 second and you don’t get anything decent there in terms of researching the crew and tank’s armament. That’s why if there was also PVE for tanks, it would be great
