Hornets BR. It's too much, Gaijin

there’s no way i’m reading this…
I think that’s enough forum for today… I can’t take it anymore.

BRUUUUUH
the guy is a machine for producing nonsense.

Have you ever played jf17?
and a plane with 4x fox3, 2x ir missile and has a horrible power to weight ratio, and manages to have fewer countermeasures than the hornet, the status card says that it has 72 countermeasures but it’s a lie if you try to divide the countermeasures into 36/36 when you start the match you have less than 30 of each flare/chaff.

the su 34 is a bomber… 13.3 bomber zzzz
It even maneuvers well for a plane of its category, but it has poor energy retention.
If a caravel could fly and maneuver in the air it would have more energy retention than the su34.

You are comparing the F18 with a Mirage III with canards and an F4 Phantom engine…
a modernized 3rd generation aircraft, which takes 4 derby the worst fox 3 missile in the game

For me it’s all the way at the bottom the spine is just too long and thick, the nose it too long, wings sren’t really in proportion, tales are too far to the front.

It only looks okay directly from the front, from every angle Hornet looks pretty ugly.

want to really help the hornet out, instead of talking about BR changes that would make some people unhappy?

https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/Wqg0JaNf6slJ

lets see if we can get it a couple LJDAM

Is NO ONE going to talk about how the current top BR should be 15.7? Seriously, don’t force phantoms with DF sparrows to fight f-18s, that’s player cruelty.
We NEED 15.7 now. f16A’s should NEVER see 4th gen jets. f15As should be in their own bracket and not see rafales or euros, that’s just so incredibly unfair. we NEED BR decompression, not more compression

Bullcrap! 14.0 was MANDATORY. or are you talking ground decompression?

“Maximum speed doesn’t win matchs, survivability does”
coughs in 60 countermeasures

L2P,… not unflareable.

Really comparing an overextended platform from a country that had no money for anything else?

You know you’re abusing, your demands aren’t even remotly acceptable,…

F/A-18A and C(early) have somewhat far better abilities of flight than Mirage F.1 you first compared.

Without even entering fact that 10 missiles is no where near 5 maximum of Mirage F.1

And the fact that avionics are from a whole different level.

Lets not forget that 60 on the hornet actually means 30 drops, its less than half of what the jf17 gets with its high calibre CMs

Fixed

I think that 60CM on the hornet seems not final.

F-111F were armed with 52 CM just like F-111A did when it was on Dev Server.

60 on A model might be quite final, if gaijin wont give it BOL flares
But C model should have 120.

60CM on F/A-18A seems fine as long as there are quite much of jets which also have 60CM only, or even fewer than 60, at BR radius of F/A-18A.

  • F-16A/ADF/AJ (60CM) [12.3-12.7]
  • F-20A (30CM + 15LCM / 45 total) [12.7]
  • F-14A Early (60CM) [12.7]
  • MiG-29A (60CM) [12.7]
  • Yak-141 (60CM) [12.7]
  • MiG-21 Bison (60 LCM) [12.3]
  • Mirage 2000CS-4 (18CM + 16 LCM / 34 total) [12.3]

Agreed.
Just want to point out that “JF-17 better than F/A-18C Late bc JF-17 has 64 while 18C has 60” claims sounds a bit strange as long as Dev materials are not final.

@HighRiskNoReward
120 countermeasures, not 60.

Well, we all know that it is now has '60’CM currently thanks to copy-pasted placeholder.
Just for placeholder.

And we also know that it will get fixed to 120CM before updates
Right?
Because Dev materials are not final.

Unless some strange shit like F-16A MLU case happens. :/
(modelled as 90CM but having 60CM currently.)

I don’t think it’s a problem. None of the aircraft I listed are remotely undertiered or overpowered for their position, and the 18A is going to be the same BR as the Pantsir with two Walleyes that don’t track outside 3km. What is the mentality problem you’re referring to?

I mean they are a russian main, so of course they would want more easy kills for the Pantsir at 12.0.

The only easy kill a Pantsir will get is someone flying straight. Seeing as how there’s a premium F-18, yes that would be the case

They were talking about the 18A though, which only has unguided ordenance or a walleye with like 3km range for moving targets.

So yes, any plane that has to get within 3-5km of a Pantsir to fight back is essentially a free kill.
