It not needed, the current ones are more than sufficient.
Na more power is always better for example the SC50 have 2m radius of armour distruction if the filling where to be changed to Trialen 105 the radius will be increased to 4m according to Gaijin formula this not some kind of useless or unneeded change it’s a literal buff by all means, this will give us the enough CAS power to finally compete with US and USSR
remove 2S38, its not needed. BMP-2M is more than sufficient.
this kind of logic doesnt work well
Hello
The brake parachute would be useful to report as long as it meets the sourcing criteria.
Spoiler
What is appropriate source material for historical issues?
OEM Manuals (primary source):
User manuals, repair manuals, factory manuals, operating manuals, technical manuals etc. Single source is required (preferred source)
.
Authored works (secondary source):
Reference books on collections of vehicles/aircraft/ships (‘coffee table books’), biographies, specialist books, “expert” opinion publications, industry magazines etc. At least two unrelated sources required.
You need to provide the following information about the source:
- Title and if applicable: publication date, document number, ISBN;
- Author or organisation;
- Image of the cover;
- Images of all the referenced pages and their page numbers;
- References for photographs;
The ejection seat is currently not viable to model in the way ejection seats are in game. This information is too limited.
Regarding gun placement, its not clear from these images what exactly is wrong. So more detail would be required.
Top speed can be reported, again ensuring the source requirement is met and you have tested it in game and are not just going by the stat card (as these can be incorrect).
Lack of bombs and designation are not reportable issues. The aircraft never had bombs and the version we had in game was not trailed with them. Without more details about exactly how they would look mounted to the aircraft and their operation, we don’t plan to include them.
He is not a Technical Moderator, but a member of the QA team in constant contact with the developers. All answers come directly from the developers.
its a mistake to have it in the game
Thank you for the clarification.
-
Drage chute will be easy to report.
-
Ejection seat isn’t necessary anyway.
-
Guns the problem with them that they are coming out from the uper side of the wing making the guns tilting upwards instead of being straight forward,that’s why as it can be seen in the schematics the guns should come from the lower part of the wing (the guns barrels should be slightly lowered to come from the lower half of the wing)
-
Top speed is hard to be determined since testing wasn’t done on the V3, the books only have one test and it’s for the V2 not the V3 but in the test the V2 crashed and it was impossible to test the top speed, but both books agrees that the top speed for the V2 would likely be between 950 km/h to 977 km/h and that’s with the jumo 004B the V3 use the 004D so acceleration and top speed should be little bit higher.
My main problem about the acceleration and top speed is the lack of how drag work in game and what’s the values set for the 229 not to mention it lose alot of speed in turns and struggles to retain speed, the only way to see by what the 229 flying performance is effected by in game is by seeing some datamines about the plane FM and other factors set for it in game which is unfortunately not a thing in my hand at the moment. -
The 229 or what referred to in both books as Horten.IX, Ho 229 or H.IX was never met to be a pure jet fighter since the project was set to create a fighter-bomber that’s up to the 3x1000 requirements, yes it wasn’t tested with bombs but it haven’t cried any armament or guns in the first place, and same thing can be implied to other aircrafts that exists in game some of them where never built others whaere never fitted with armaments nor with some avionic systems yet they still come in to the game with their full capitalist and i see that the 229 shouldn’t be an exception, so i will try to find illustrations where the bombs should be mounted.
For the designation this is something that i can’t simply ignore since if the designation was to be changed to a fighter-bomber or what we call in game as a strike aircraft the 229 will more than likely will receive an air spawn giving it a head start and some advantage that it might need specially when it fight other fighters that can out climb it and easily out run it.
After looking at this the only thing i can report then is thr drage chute and the guns, welp giving up it is then.
This is mind you the only surviving model. However, it was never painted nor touched meaning whatever is seen in these pictures is how it was found. So that red paint is the factory spray paint given the blueprint pictures you showed where it would be located.
Really all you need to do is overlay a transparent of the black outlines over a picture of the Ho-229 with its wings. To see if that red dot in the draw aligns with the actual vehicle itself. Which is what I’m suggesting you do
I have fully constructed picture of the 229 v3
It’s just not worth the time and effort to make a report that i know it will be ignored and not fixed, plus ngl on you i doesn’t take a genius to see that the guns are coming from the wrong holes of the wing.
Not to mention that the drag chute was already reported 2 years ago and it was ignored ever since.

Same for the arado Ar234B-2 and C
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/w91p0ydMjWsJ
So why bother if they are going to be ignored in the first place.
You can say the same thing with the reports people have made. It’s down to providing enough sources that don’t contradict, but confirm that the position in-game is the wrong location. If you’re going to give up, you kind of waste everyone’s time, including your own. Another thing is using blueprint images as the correct position of the guns will not prove much. Remember people have made false information before.
It’s not worth it to report according to Smin1080p i can’t do anything about the speed, the FM, acceleration, guns rpm, fire accuracy, i can’t prove that the 229 can carry bombs, and can’t change it’s designation. So if i am going to report a drage chute that was already reported then why wasting my time i already have my share fare of devs ignorance in these two bug reports that i made a year ago.

German vehicles are doomed to be nerfed and i can do nothing about it.
Dude, Smin never at all said “It’s not worth reporting”, he’s stating that there just isn’t enough information to fully confirm it.
If you had taken a moment and didn’t skim what he said and paused trying to break it down he’s essentially telling you, to add more information, and right now certain things just don’t exist in the game because there just isn’t enough information such as how large is the Ho-229 Ejection seat, etc. We do not know and for all we know that isn’t real and was fabricated. Since the only ones who can confirm if its fact or not, are restoring the dang on thing.
That’s the problem there is no more information this is all of it you can’t find any, all left is to bring the Horten brothers back from the dead and ask them how did the tests went and what should have the 229 developed to i don’t have the information bc there isn’t any left XD
I press X to doubt that heavily. There is always more. The internet wasn’t made yesterday, it is over 41 years old. 64 Zetabytes, as of 2020. Meaning it’s larger in 2024. So there is more. You just need to look onto other places, or ask for assistance from others.
Aside from that, I’m posting the same location of the red paint on both pictures. Which is the same location as the proper gun mounting.
