Yep, I was equally impressed and pissed. it’s rare that no shells hit, but its pretty common for less than 50% to hit in my experience beyond “point blank range”

its extremely annoying when your 15 inch shells somehow all miss a battleship thats 3km next to you, like the accuracy of them almost makes them unusable
it looks like a great ship and im excited to see where naval goes, especially when it gets more and more modern.

I don’t have any historical data for the German WW1 38cm gun accuracy, but British 15" and the WW2 German 38cm were known to be one of the most accurate battleship guns irl

I’m personally not excited about that at all. Look at what happened to air and ground when they went “modern”.
We need better core gameplay, not shiny new modern shit.

Maybe you should check what the guy I replied to said… He wasn’t really talking about the Renown. He was talking more about AShMs and CIWS and all that stuff. That’s the stuff I’m not excited about. Of course I’m excited about Renown and any other new content that doesn’t brake the game. But I have very big fears that modern shit, subs, or playable carriers will end up braking the game.

Anyone notice that radar on HMS Renown still not rotating? Even when radar won’t work Gaijin used to add animation, but this time not. Maybe they just don’t know HMS Renown has radar XD

oh yeah they do. In case of renown, I need to see it for myself but well, if a scharnhorst ammoracks you in first salvo, it is not a good look for your ship :b

Any response from the devs about getting it the proper draft? That should go a long way to alleviating its tendency to explode in the first few salvos.
I saw three in one match today.
Renown 1: 135 damage then ammoracked
Renown 2: 192 damage then ammoracked
Renown 3: 435 damage then ammoracked
Meanwhile, I fought 2 battleships in a Scharnhorst and killed them both twice, and never died. That’s after killing 12 other ships. It seems like there is a huge variation in 7.0 BR capabilities.

In AB I would advocate for giving it better shells and lowering it to 6.7 or not doing that and moving to 6.3. And yes, mandatory draft fix
