It’s not real. Cardboard turret on the real roikat. Actual missile launch was only from a ground-based test unit.
It was real. I found a few sources confirming that, and i have a verbal confirmation from SA AA veteran. All that is left is finding a picture.
Also
All systems worked separately (it is not known how well or if they worked at all), nothing was installed on the Roikat itself.
I’ve seen your post
You can see the variant on the Crotale chassis. Snail has already done so to sidam 25 and painted Mistral missiles for him, of which there were only three
I’m surprised more of these ain’t already in game, some tree’s are lacking badly.
Why would the Norwegian NOMADS go to the USA?
Sweden and Germany makes sense but did the US have anything to do with it?
Skyguard-M just rock!
Can be used by almost all nations, due to big list of available ordnance.
And also it’s “all in one” system, as USSR/Russian Tunguska/Pantsir.
This is the 1978 AWX for japan. This came before the Type 87, and it was concluded that the turret was too heavy for the Type 61 hull. Later they used the same setup on said Type 87.
Not sure if it fits your high tier theme, but hey I’ll stick it here anyway.
One thing that could be added to Italy is a 127mm or 155mm artillery tank using the Vulcano guided munition.
- Range - 55km (155mm on 155/39 cannon), 70km (155mm on 155/52 cannon), or 80km (127mm on 127/64 cannon)
- Guidance - GPS or Semi Active Laser (SAL) for the 155mm, and GPS, IR, or SAL for the 127mm
- It appears both rounds can be fired standalone using portable programming devices
The main issue is that while they are meant to hit moving naval targets (the 127mm is, at least), the effectiveness against aircraft isn’t talked about anywhere even though the SAL and IR guidance should allow for it.
gaijin is gonna look at this list and end up only adding the pantsir s2
Update #1
Added:
- MIM-46 Mauler
- Stormer AD (Blazer-25/30)
- Warrior VERDI-2
- Geopard (CA-94M)
- Mistral Unimog
TOR-M2 should be added to the list and perhaps Pantsir-SM
Excellent post addressing all ten tech trees.
Huge fan of this idea. Fully on board! A wonderfully written idea too (lol).
But this is an excellent post. Applies to all nations with things that are, for the most part, somewhat relevant.
