not everyone uses the forums i think alot of the player base either doesnt care to, cant access it for one reason or another or doesnt even know it exists. so a poll here wouldnt mean to much.

i think ground only would work for high tier to top only as armor isnt a massive factor. anything lower and it just lets heavy tanks or other in spots gaijin did not intended to be used camp way easier can yell at me all you want about how camping is a thing now but cas does deal with it. theres a spot on carpathins were you can sit and basically shoot anyone coming out of spawn and not be able to see them well and you cant go the other way and get them as the mountain blocks them and its in their spawn the only way to deal with them out side of luck of them missing or not seeing you is for a plane to bomb or rocket them. tho i feel like most will just read the first bit and throw a huge tantrum and not read anything else.
this is true, thankfully the issue of CAS is so trivial that a vote isnt needed
this is a matter of horrible map design and doesnt need to be solved by players using CAS.
overpowered camping spots are even a bigger issue at top tier, and you would argue that because other tanks cant kill the player, CAS is needed.
is it the players fault that gaijin put an invincible camping spot in each map? no, so why force players to use CAS to smite the player without any contest?
this is like if a ship had a hole and a sailor was forced to plug it with his thumb and hold it there forever, instead of very simply repairing the actual hole. CAS is a shit “temporary” solution to a separate issue

this is true but we already know gaijin wont fix camping spots. which is an issues of its self so the only option you have is CAS it sucks but till either gaijin fixes the camping spots or makes this game mode which i doubt them doing that all we got
id also like the mention incressing the SP for CAS would make it more “balanced” or limit how many aircraft can be up at once. especially for heli
The issue is that poll was made in public game forum where everyone could vote, not only people who are pro TO mode.

thats the point of this thread. i mean its a simple issue, just use more than 1% of your brain while re-designing the worst maps. if more people cried about it, eventually gaijin would probably have to do something about it.
the bad thing is that people already paid for CAS vehicles so you cant just outright remove them, but i dont see why not just add another gamemode that doesnt have CAS. its incredibly simple and it pleases everyone
this wouldnt be balanced any more than it is now from the perspective of the player who is getting killed by invisible missiles from 15 km away. it does balance winrates, but the gameplay is just as garbage
it is a niche poll, its probably mostly voted by extremes of each side, e.g. CAS monkeys or CAS haters, so it would differ from a playerbase-wide poll
thats fair. there would still be the issue of according to people “spaa being completely useless” how would that be fix or balanced? only a handful would have a use in the ground only and this ^ is what people think about SPAAs with a gamemode with aircraft
SPAAs would be played in combined mode and have much more fun as more air units would be present in It as pure tankers would be playing TO

And that’s the problem. If no one is using tanks, the points wouldn’t be captured, moreover, the game would become a SPAA vs Aircraft mode. Everyone would want to spawn a plane, and it would basically be all planes.
I don’t like being killed by CAS, but considering this, it wouldn’t be a smart move. We have to take everything into account, and a tank only mode would just disrupt the game.
So tankers should suffer?

very many SPAAs are used almost exclusively as tank killers and light tanks still exist as well. when it comes to actual dedicated SPAA, its just too bad. at top tier its useless regardless, so it would probably just be refunded or left unused if playing the tank-only mode.
its a minimal sacrifice to make to fix the game
then that would indicate nobody wants to play againt CAS garbage and it should have never existed in the first place. and after all, the only thing that should be fighting CAS is SPAA anyway
its impossible to “disrupt the game” more than it already is. it will never be worse than now, unless they make the game physically unplayable

What I basically mean with that is that a TO mode is not a viable solution from my point of view. I’m very bad with CAS myself, so I don’t usually play it, but I still think that maybe I wouldn’t mind some planes flying around (as long as they’re not KH-38MTs slingers, I never get killed by other countries’ CAS, only Russian, but that’s probably matchmaking). I’m pretty sure there’s a more viable solution, as the situation right now is quite dire.
You’ll still be able to have the game modes with planes flying around.
There’d just be a second queue for GRB/GSB that’s only tanks. GAB too prolly (might be easiest since GAB has no owned-planes to begin with).

Well, the problem is that everyone would be playing tanks only mode besides the CAS players, including me. And that’s the issue. No one would actually want to join on a mixed battles mode when there is a tanks only mode. The only people who would join these modes would be the ones that either enjoy CAS or SPAAs (or need to spade the SPAA for whatever reason).
Why is it an issue that people play what they enjoy? If nobody wants to join the combined arms game, that means it is not fun and needs balance passes for either rewards or ease of acquisition.
Is it an issue for you that people play RB/AB if you play SB? Is it an issue that people fly modern jets rather than WW2 props?
It’s not.
You might rightfully try to popularize and advertise what you find fun hoping others join, but people trying it and deciding “Nah, not my thing” is a completely valid and healthy thing for a game with multiple game modes to have.
