High Tier Air-RB Too short

This is getting ridiculous, RP gain is tied directly to battle length, but thanks to waves of 32 Fox-3 slingers spawning in each others faces (already within radar range and almost within weapons range) the average match ends in 5 minutes flat… There is no time or space to play for position, teams collapse in seconds.

Its impossible to progress if you can walk away with a kill or two, in a victorious match, on a premium account and STILL only garner 1700 RP while researching vehicles at the same rank you’re playing…

Smaller teams AND bigger maps, and a return to runway spawning.

100% convinced the shift to a default air spawn was to remove the minuscule amount of RP you get for taking off and to shorten matches, its a double hit.

That’s just artificially prolonging the game by introducing idle time.
You need something else.

those short matches actually works in your favor if it comes to RP and SL gains.

And much less of this idle time on lower ranks where you sideclimb for 10 hours. It kills the fun.

Could be a mode with rounds and only small maps like city. best of 3 or smthg.

But i honestly like it the way it is.

I don’t know, 25 minutes seems long enough to do everything.
Maybe if ground objectives were 5x larger in scale the time limit would start to cause issues.

Of course, most of the time I don’t see players playing for rewards.
I mostly see players playing to get it over with as fast as possible, which use to be 3 minutes when team sizes were smaller.

Get more ground objectives, spread the air spawn further apart, incentivize PVE slightly more, and educate players universally that play time matters most; that’s how you’ll get players to play for longer.

Players are not all secretly Gaijin employees trying to make matches faster.
They’re standard players that think faster equals better.

it basically ends up being you earn the same rp from five good 5 minute matches as from 1 good 25 minute match

High tier air RB matches very rarely last longer than 10 minutes, and I haven’t had a single one last 20+.

It’s really bad because Gaijin has done what they can to reduce match times as much as possible.

To fix this:

  1. Make 10v10 the max above 10.7 - This will prevent there from being over 200 missiles per team, per match. (fun fact, we can have up to 224 missiles per team, and the minimum amount is 160 for an all 14.3 team)
  2. EC maps with multiple spawn points
  3. Larger maps - This will be very needed once we get next gen ARH/IR missiles if they are implemented somewhat accurately

I want to play a gamemode that isn’t a clusterf**k of ARH missile spam, that also isn’t sim EC.

We had that. I don’t know how many people actually supported it.

Even now you have many people disliking EC maps , where you have more space to position yourself.

I’m waiting to see what aerial warfare would be. If that goes bad, then i don’t know.
I don’t expect Randoms to ever be good .

In the past, the RB people would often not understand why income in arcade was so low compared with RB. Now they encounter it themselves.

PvE targets and new game mode. Currently its easier to get nothing from a match, than to do well.

I really wish they introduced a 10v10 gamemode or 8v8 in non EC maps, EC can keep 16v16 imo. Its just too much going on and almost every match without exception half of one team dies 2 - 3 minutes into the match, its highly frustrating and its sad the devs dont care about gameplay at all. I mostly only play air to grind for vehicles to use in Squadron battles now.

if GRB is anything to go by, that might come with a nerf to rewards overall.

Seeing how the GRB grind with multiple spawns is so much worse than the ARB grind.

I honestky think it’s nothing to do with that and they did it to nerf rewards that little bit more just to turn the screws some more

Less time in match, no more take off rewards etc an it changes nothing really for the better

They could just keep the total rewards but split it into more spawns, if you know what I mean.
Short games in ARB are impossible to solve without artificially prolonging it with idle time.

Genuine question what blessed queue are you getting to have 25 minutes matches?

No, maneuvering for position prior to an engagement is not idle time, it’s also something you cannot do if you are being tracked from the instant you spawn in.

Say a match ends after 20 minutes and you’ve gained 8000RP?

To achieve that same 8000 RP in 5 min matches you’d need to queue 4x times and gain 2000 RP each time, so you’re actually looking at:

X minutes in queue + 20min
vs
4X minutes in queue + 4x5min

If we assume 2 minutes in queue that’s 8000 RP in a 22 minutes for a long match vs 8000 RP in 28 minutes for 4 short matches.
