Hey, so I have a doubt. So yesterday I was playing air ab as br 1.0 but then I got into a lobby of br 2.0 or .3 players. I checked my lineup and there was only br 1.0 planes. So what is happening

Pls help

this is because the matchmaking forces players with BRs both above and below 1.0 into the same battles

you were the bottom BR of a 2.0 game - ther are some lineup complications that mean players can have a single 2.3 plane in a 2.0 game - see Matchmaking | War Thunder Wiki

Time to miove up some BR’s so you can occasionally be the top BR :)

Normal match making is +/- 1BR, but AAB averages you BRs, so if you put 1 BR 2.3 in a line up with 1 or more BR 1.7 or lower planes the line up BR is 2.0 rather than 2.3.
Which means you can exploit it to do obnoxious things like this:

Notice how the (already horribly under BRed in arcade) Mig-21 is 9.0, but by dropping in the 8.0 TU-14 my BR is 8.7 for the match

How is the MiG-21 under tiered in AAB? It uses energy up incredibly quickly, regains it much slower than in RB due to the limited afterburner times, and just generally performs horribly in Arcade furballs. I would even say it is over tiered.

Also, it’s logical to average BRs in arcade because of how short lifetimes are.
