title says it all.
the F-2A/A ADTW behaves like the old f-16 fms before gaijin capitulated and removed the lift coefficient modifier at high speeds half a year ago.
I think that it should be fair that if the planes that had same mechanic removed months back, the F-2A/2A ADTW never have come to the game with it in the first place.
Also contrary to the patchnotes from earlier today, no, missiles are still fucked.
The F-16A having that issue caused its takeoff speed to be around if not over 350kph. It was a major issue, and the lack of lift at low speeds is what caused it to be removed as all F-16s have a take-off speed of 260kph IRL with fuel tank and full missile load.
The F-2 does compress much more then it should (Its flight computer was specifically tuned to have literally 0 compression irl. It was honestly insanely complex, to a point where WT basically can’t model it all correctly. Like, the system was designed so the plane handles the same at any speed, altitude, and combat load). But the issue isn’t due to lift dampening like on the F-16 on launch.
The F-2 has both AoA and pitch response based flaperon deployment. However due to how its set up currently, as the plane reaches higher speeds it pulls less AoA, so the flaperons deflect less, decreasing pull. While this is accurate for the AoA response, its not accurate for the pitch response, which should be fairly consistent across speeds. This causes the plane to compress more then it should at higher speeds.
Anyways yeah imma write a bug report on the compression at some point.
Guess i wasnt the only one who noticed the hypercompression at speeds above 900, the radar also has the exact same issue the RBE2-AA had on release, i.e, its barely functional and likes to glitch/spazz out when locking/having an extremely janky refresh/detection rate
