He has played it more. Sure. I do play other games than Warthunder, unlike many people who stick like glue to one singular game.
Secondly, keybinds. Notice that controller symbol next to my name?
Guess what, I play on controller, have no access to the PC mods, no ULQ or anything else I could benefit from. And I am not saying he uses those what I would call “cheats” but if he has more available buttons to keybind, and better luck, sure I can see why his stats are better.
It’s not just a bit better, it’s a lot better.
It means that he’s doing something that you don’t do, at the very least.
You aren’t getting a ~3.0K/D just by turning on ULQ lol
And I am happy that they finally decided to put it up to 10.0, because that’s more fair for the rest of the players around that BR.
His favourite vehicle is the KA-52, and yet he is saying that it shouldn’t be lower than any other helicopter.
I couldn’t care less about the fact that the KA-52 is a Russian vehicle.
It’s just too good for 12.0 - plain and simple.
Oh, and no doubt you’d do better in the UHT.
You barely need any skills to play that to its fullest potential other than being able to lock and launch the F&Fs, and going back down if you hear a MAW warning.
Like I said, KA-52 / KA-50 has quite a high skill floor and quite a high skill ceiling.
UHT (and most other F&Fs) have quite a low skill floor and quite a low skill ceiling.
There are XBOX players in my squadron who play Squadron Realistic Battles quite regularly.
I’ve rarely ever heard them complain about the lack of keybinds. They just found ways to make do with what they have and still play well.
I mean, you don’t have to do that if you don’t want to.
But if you want to complain about balance than you should at least know what and how to play what you have, as well as what others can do.
Ok, and what if I told you that you could do way more in the Ka-52 than what the best UHT pilot can ever do?
What if I told you that you don’t have to rely on RNG and a good map to get a decent number of ground kills?
Or to kill helicopters?
Or to kill jets?
What I am saying is that you probably could do better in the UHT, but a competent KA-52 pilot will almost always do better in most scenarios / matches than a competent UHT pilot, because of its limitations and its large dependency on RNG.
That’s such a high horse kind of comment. Clearly I know how to play the vehicles. I don’t need 25k matches to do so.
There’s a few factors to any helicopter gameplay:
Luck
Enemy Spaa / CAP up
ATGM consistency
Acquiring targets
And yes you are a bit unbalanced. You say the KA-50 is fine at 11.3, I say give it gen 1 thermals and I’ll agree (also this was the package it was supposed to have in game correct to it’s model until it was boo’d out.)
The KA-50/52/Mi-28NM are the highest SP cost vehicles for helicopters as is.
How could you do better in a KA-52 over a UHT? By the time you’ve fired half your aresenal, I could drop all the PARS, go reload, and fire them all again, rinse and repeat, without exposing myself.
The biggest weakness of the UHT is its anti air capability against CAP
Sure, in which Ka-52 requires the least amount of luck to perform well.
The ability to deal with SPAA is worse in the Ka-52, but still managable, if not better if the SPAA player is really competent or really bad.
The ATGM consistency of the KA-52 is miles better than that of the UHT’s.
The ability to deal with other helicopters / CAP is miles better in the Ka-52 than that of the UHT.
Acquiring the targets is also easier due to both GMTI radar and air-to-air radar.
They both get good zoom and thermal sights.
I guess I could see that, but I find it that you rarely need it in most cases due to hit markers existing anyways.
The only case where it would be really nice is when the map has fog.
The zoom on the Ka-50 is also quite lacking, but I think all of that is reasonable trade-offs for the fact that it gets 12x Vikhirs, great survivabilitiy, and a great 30mm all at 11.3.
Which is fine.
Because half of the time (especially if it’s a city map / dense foliage map) the PARs are either going to do no damage or completely miss.
You’re better off using the Ka-52.
Yes, which is also a huge problem that even yourself complained about when talking about issues with helicopters in general.
So it requires less luck than not being seen at all? That make absolutely 0 sense.
Any spaa with 2 brain cells can kill any heli easily, except FNF ones who launch and run. And let’s say your an spaa with no smokes, or don’t have them researched. Then what? You have to race to a building or obstacle that isn’t always present.
Yes I already said it’s easier to deal with CAP in a KA-52 but in the general sense for any heli isn’t easy.
They both do sure. But GMTI / radar gives you away. GMTI also only works on moving tanks, which can also pick up friendly units. So not any true benefit there.
Foliage hidden tanks and spaa are also hard to spot.
If they implemented thermals correctly, it would only be able to really use it sub 4 miles distance I believe. Which would be pretty balanced.
if that’s fine, it’s fine FNF are 12.3 minimum. I don’t know about you, but I don’t drive around in a light tanks to cap / spot then J out. Then get in a heli. I play the obj. And actually try not to be a CAS abuser.
you have a far higher chance to be struck in a KA-52 over PARS spam.
