Helicopter Game Mode as a Whole

Lack of proper BR matchmaking, meaning lower-tier helicopters can be put against vastly more capable Apaches, Ka-50/52s, Mi-28s, etc.; massive maps and excessive travel time, where a huge portion of the match can be spent simply flying to an objective; overpowered AI SPAA, especially Gepards and other radar SPAAs that can accurately engage helicopters from several kilometers away, making early helicopters without long-range ATGMs nearly helpless; bad AI and objective behavior, including enemies spawning directly underneath players, vehicles becoming desynced, sinking underground or driving through terrain/water, convoys taking bizarre routes, and objectives sometimes failing to register; long and inconsistent objective respawn times, leaving players sitting around with nothing meaningful to attack; poorly balanced helicopter capabilities, because helicopters with long-range weapons such as Vikhrs can safely destroy targets from distances where helicopters using rockets, guns, or shorter-range ATGMs cannot compete; stock-grind problems, since many helicopters are effectively crippled without their ATGMs or other modifications, yet the PvE mode is supposed to be one of the main ways to research those modifications; extremely low or poorly rewarding RP/SL, with players spending potentially hours in a match for relatively little progress and sometimes losing SL through deaths; boring and repetitive gameplay, largely consisting of flying long distances, waiting for objectives, hovering and shooting AI, then repeating the process; bugs with missile guidance and AI synchronization, which can make guided weapons miss or behave incorrectly; poor scaling between helicopter tiers, since the same general PvE environment doesn’t adequately account for the enormous difference between early helicopters and top-tier machines; and finally, the biggest overarching complaint is that the mode feels like it was designed around the most capable premium/top-tier helicopters rather than the helicopter tree as a whole, leaving players in weaker or stock machines with a frustrating combination of weak weapons, lethal AI, huge distances, slow progression and little meaningful gameplay. These complaints have remained remarkably consistent for years, including very recent discussions in 2026. Base bombing is tedious for things that only carry rockets. The land on any pad has been broken for years. The reporting system loves to randomly close and lose all progress, this is the 4th time I’ve rewrote this. The land on enemy helipad will spawn in random places around the map rather than on a front that can be captured and it wont even spawn the helipad. Shooting down a plane is basically impossible at low tiers. You guys haven’t touched this game mode in years but that unfair to say because you haven’t touched any game mode for years either. You just care about pushing new vehicles and weapon systems out. But helicopters also only get simulator battles where as every other vehicle type gets arcade, realistic, and naval.
