It can, though the phantom cant bring mavs as a backup ground attack option.
Jag is miles better in GRB for cas, cheaper to spawn too with teh GBUS, more reliable at dodging SPAa, as well as same guns, faster, arguably better payload when it works than hawk.
ID rather 2 certified GBU kills over the fact the AGM65B will either miss cause the locks are buggy af again and wont target past like 2km.
Faster, more agile, far more CMs , can carry A2A as well as the 2 bombs, which BTW you can drop them out of range of SPAA if you sling it at em.
hawks lock range and such is just too low to be relevant, especially at the BR of 10.7 when it’s up against far more agile missiles / platforms
This aged terribly BTW xD now we’ve got the T72B3 Arena as well at 11.0 , when it’s literally an 11.3 side grade tank, lose some HP to gain access to a reliable 360 degree APS.
TBF the flankers have been a heap of garbage as well compared to US and other jets for years now as well.
It looks good, it’s British-made, and it’s a rare sight (for obvious reasons).
Obvious nonsense as long as the 27ER exists in its current state
Not really, the R27Er RN for me is a pain to even get a hit
also that feeling of shooting down people in their “meta jets” with this funi lil trainer boi.
Though I really would enjoy having a gun or 2 more skyflash on my hawk, lol.
Don’t let the average players lack of skill fool you lol.
I had been playing the Frs.1 in sim a lot messing up MiG-21s and Mirage 3s left right and center.
However in a duel vs a good pilot in the mirage 3 and it was a slaughter very depressing.
I trust you know the answer to that.
That as well, absolutely. Once you eventually get to the combat zone though, haha
What answer, the R27ER itself while a good missile isn’t some super wonder weapon, I’d much rather the F15A at 12.7 with 4 x 9M and 4X 7M than 2 R27ERs and 4 XR60s which are useless.
The last time I took the mig29 out, which wasn’t that long ago the missile constantly broke lock, Slammed off into the ground or didn’t track worth a damn, I got more kills against 13.3s with R60s and guns than the 27ERs.
I think people are really sleeping on the Hawk 200 RDA. I was skeptical at first given it didnt have a gun like Hawk 200. But honestly not having a gun meant you knew not to go into furballs and stay at a distance.
Took 7 less matches to stock to spade than the Hawk 200. Despite what it looks like on paper it can be a fun little aircraft in Air rb and really catches players off guard.
stock 2 9L’s
no gun
yeah no wonder
I’m not even going to waste the SL on them.
Faced one in my Frs.1 in a sim battle and it was like taking candy from a baby.
That’s with the terrible performance of gaijins harrier.
For me, it would be an aircraft Id play in ASB, not ARB, utelising the multi-role potential and having some fun with that, much like how I play the AMX A-1A
But its the same BR as the Mig-23MLD in ASB. So… frick that
With no premium time at the moment either, I cba to grind the SLs for it
If you play GRB much I still advocate the RDA there as a fun way to keep skies clear of enemy planes and helis.
Most enemy planes you encounter will have a mixed loadout/priority ground attack so it fits the actual role of a light fighter better, especially given the high usage of su25s and helis when I play it.
they are 8.0 planes with 10.7 missiles. i like them but they are FAR from competitive
Yes they are just bad
Yet sustain more G then the hunter IRL
Maybe, but that still involves upping every single 10.7 to 11.0 just for that, when much the same can be achieved with the FGR2/FG1 without doing the same
If it was 10.7, Id go to the effort though. That being said, if I play GRB, its usually 9.3 or 10.3 at the moment
Well, there is an accepted report for it missing 25% of its STR. I wouldnt be surprised if there was other bits needing some TLC too
Yes I was a doc for that.
Its induced drag is what is too high.
