The flares on the F-5C are as much of a technical possibility as fitting the Harrier GR.3 (or AV-8A) flare dispensers to the Harrier GR.1, yet Gaijin don’t seem to have any willingness to entertain that idea.

As always, suggestion reports are welcome if there is a technical possibility thats possible to show.
Its been some time since the aircraft were first implemented (5 years) and that answer was given.
Though it would still be down to the devs to decide on.

I’ll have to eventually try and dig to find anything regarding the ALE-37 pod at some point. I know it could be given to the AV-8C, seeing as it has practically the exact same pylon wiring as the AV-8A, but I’m not entirely sure on the GR.1/GR.1A and GR.3 yet (on top of the SHars).

Probably 30s.
From what Smin said before, it could potentially use both, so I doubt they’d go to the effort of changing it to the 25s or better yet, giving the player the choice via loadout. Even though the 25s are the better guns.

I really wish they’d give it the 25s, their ballistics are just so much better than the 30s and to be honest the damage feels only slightly worse.

Yep, the ultimate solution is just to allow the player to pick in the loadout, like we see in a few places such as the F-111s and F-104, where the internal gun is optional.
Sometimes you might want the 30mm for ground strafe, but otherwise the 25mm for A2A
But if limited to just 1, they should put it to a player vote. 25mm would probably win by a landslide

ironically, the 25mms are arguably better against tanks as they have quite a bit more pen, despite being smaller

I dont think i’ve ever used them in a ground stafe, so i’ll trust your word for it, but yeah. The ballistics on the 25s are awesome

The 25s are just better for that too, they use 25x137mm, same as the bradley etc. So have very high velocities.

Just went by “bigger shell, bigger punch” but yeah, against armoured targets, velocity is better. I guess the 30mm ADENs would be better for ground strafe soft targets then with HE?
