RDA… We’ll have to wait and see what they do. Limited evidence 1x 25mm ADEN and radar could be fitted and then the whole gunpod situation, but could end up with none.
Though the convo above was more about the regular 10.7 hawk
Issue is the RDA, being a non-production variant, never had any pictures taken with the gun on. Despite nearly all official brochures saying it could carry the 30mm ADEN gun pod like production hawks, Gaijin stubbornly wants photo evidence. Its a bit annoying, since the only thing stopping it from being installed right now is a bit of mesh overlapping, but that Gaijin doesn’t want to sacrifice an inch of realism on this plane specifically is quite annoying. Not to mention many other planes having “Planned ordnance” that they never got, but for some reason on this thing, which is already gonna be one hell of a struggle bus, they refuse.
Hopefully something does turn up from this, could also be worth asking about the gunpod too. They might have some info about that which would be great.
@Smin1080p_WT@Gunjob Any chance either of you know if this is being followed up by the devs?
I mean, they did that with the F-20 (modelled after prototypes N44671 and N3986B in the 1983 production standard, but has two skins of proto 1 N4416T in 1979 production standard)
In this case they’ve got both ZH200 (The base Hawk 200) and ZJ201 (The Hawk 200 RDA) in game, that’s why I’m confused. They’re giving the RDA (The 3rd prototype) a livery of the 2nd prototype, but the 2nd prototype is in game as the basic Hawk 200.
I’ve been looking into fighter/strike aircraft-mounted APUs/self-starters (mainly spurred by heavy research into both the Legacy Harriers and A-4M Skyhawk II)
