Hawk 200 Technical Discussion The Fighting Hawk

Some old BAe media team VHS footage of Hawk 100 and 200 in Oman and Malaysia

Nothing all that useful but it’s nice footage.
Oman video has some interesting bits like brief cockpit footage showing imagery from Hawk 103’s nose FLIR, the avionics lab test/calibration rig for the APG-66 radar, and a ground test release with a UK 1000lb bomb.

At least we’re still using the Avro RJ100 on other programmes. I feel like these radar test beds are the only heritage aircraft we have from these past companies going at the moment.

I kinda wish BAE had named their R&D divisions or sites after the companies it absorbed. Can you for example imagine if during EAP you’d read the press release ‘British Aerospace unveils EAP developed by Supermarine/Hawker/English Electric

Falconworks is cool and all but Supermarine

Proof to get 4 Skytrash

Yes. I’m also going to make a suggestion for the most modern Swordfish on some have heard of…

No, I’m confused as that photo doesn’t show anything of the sort. It has Skyflash on the expected pylon, like on ZJ201 found on dev now.

oh… thought it was on the next outer pylon

Legendary!!! <3

The flares on the F-5C are as much of a technical possibility as fitting the Harrier GR.3 (or AV-8A) flare dispensers to the Harrier GR.1, yet Gaijin don’t seem to have any willingness to entertain that idea.

As always, suggestion reports are welcome if there is a technical possibility thats possible to show.

Its been some time since the aircraft were first implemented (5 years) and that answer was given.

Though it would still be down to the devs to decide on.

huh, I assume its a gaijin balancing act to make the plane not too OP OP OMG right off the bat and if necessary they can always bump to 4 skyflash?

I’ll have to eventually try and dig to find anything regarding the ALE-37 pod at some point. I know it could be given to the AV-8C, seeing as it has practically the exact same pylon wiring as the AV-8A, but I’m not entirely sure on the GR.1/GR.1A and GR.3 yet (on top of the SHars).

Please try getting it added to the Shars, the engine is soo hot that we need a mini-sun to equal the heat emitted the engine

Gotta question them giving ZJ201 a livery with ZH200’s tail number
Would have thought they’d go for the unlabelled mockup’s desert livery

Also no grey ZG200 skin?

I guess it’s because it was flying that tail number with the sky flash

Fellas, do you reckon the Hawk will drop tomorrow with 25s or 30s?

Any news on the gunpod for the RDA yet?
