Hawk 200 flght model

i have been playing the hawk 209 and i wonder is the flight model accurate?, it feels like it pulls less AOA than a stalled f104 and i think, this cant be right.

right?

Ah, the hawk 209. For the sake of your mental health, don’t play that thing.

I’d say that feeling is wrong… ;-)

Recently had to fight a Hawk 200 RDA (similar performance as the 209) in my F-5E in Sim, and we both couldn’t get into a good position, and finally both decided to knock it off…

Comparing those three types (Tiger II, Hawk, Starfighter) we see the Starfighter fares much worse than the other two types, which are much closer together.

The Hawks are quite nible, and can be surprisingly formidable in a dogfight, and should not be underestimated - but as always, their shortcomings have to be taken into account and the aircraft must be flown accordingly!

in a air rb match it really doesnt feel like it, like, i have played the av8a a lot (i think its my 3rd most played plane overall) and i know the av8a is kinda of a brick sometimes but i feel it performs kinda better than the hawk 209, as on the hawk i’m unable to get my nose on target on things that the av8a would.

i dont know anything about sim as i dont play it but i guess it performs better due either everything else having worse stats or it pulling more aoa in full real controls.

again, in air rb it feels if both and f5A and hawk 209 were to do a full turn to hit eachother the f5a would pull more aoa and kill the hawk before its able to get nose on the f5
