Has having the gun shot out on the Tiger 1 just become tiresome?

it isn’t. A large amount of the game only works balance wise because as a lesser tank you can have tools like disabling the enemy tank through weakspots like barrel sniping so you can then flank it for the kill.

Not to mention its simply REALISTIC for this to be the case, if your barrel is shot you are no longer a tank irl, you are a bunker with machine guns.

When those tanks aren’t balanced to where they can flank or do other shit? Yes. When maps don’t allow flanking and are narrow streets? Yes.

Unless gaijin wakes up tommorow and decides to fix the massive amount of BR compression this game has and/or rework the maps to actually allow things such as “flanking” then yes.

it isnt

Typical Eddie nonsense yawns

Asking to remove it is a huge no.
Aiming in game is so much easier than it is in real life. However, I do like the mechanics of disabling barrels as it helps outplay, historical, and a useful strategic tactic. It does get annoying, but that’s just how it is and designed. The only way to reduce the chances of getting disabled like that, especially against the barrel, is forcing Gunner Sight mode for GRB just like in SB. But the chances of that happening is close to 0%.

( it would highly improve grb but the playerbase is bad and would cry :( )

This is why I hate playing all Panthers, except Panther F

And before even M2 Browning could disable any cannon with muzzel brake, good it can’t anymore. But still this is RNG BS.

Shooting the gun is sometimes the best ways to deal with a tiger. A m4 can’t really do much against an angled tiger.

So is there much point playing a Tiger or any German tank with such a gun set up and is it in any way the reason why Germany has such poor win rates?

Only because I shot you down elsewhere ,you are just a bit butt hurt. Im not the only one who has issues with the same old in game shot traps : )

The average German teammate isn’t really skilled.

Some context Eddie?

The bigger the size of the muzzle brake the more likely you get your barrel damage because it’s not easy to miss that big ass target/hitbox. Tiger H1/E generally suffer less from barrel repair because it has a rather quick reload timer, unlike IS-2/ IS-3 your 26 seconds reload restart after you spent 30 seconds repairing your barrel!

The one that suffers the most from barrel damage is the Object 268 or Bkan, you can’t miss it even if you are blind lol

How much use is a team mate with no gun? We have that old win rate chart that keeps getting thrown around to show how bad the USA are in the M1 Abrams era but what that chart also shows is a big red marker around the German tech tree at around the low/mid BR marker.

The only sensible correlation I can find is at the German low mid tier we have the “Breachgate” gun barrel saga of which I write and at Top tier we have the Turret ring of doom. Two similar issues and two similar chart showings.

It seems more logical than saying its about American stupidity, Chinese cheats or Germans being …er …German. Maybe we should be looking at faults in the game that stop you playing it.I am suggesting the One shot gun kill/Turret ring bug is what is smashing Germany down mid tier and hammering the USA high tier. That, possibly combined with a healthy dose of Stalium (contentious and for another thread : )

Though the Bkan also inflicts the most barrel damage ;)

Both German mid tier and American high tier attract new players because they heard about the invincible Tiger/Abrams and expect it to be the same in game.

Neither of those BRs are open to new players though generally

The clickbait seems to be in a better position now, having m829a2 and facing the enemy noobs T-80ue with a lesser firepower lol
