and this isnt something special for just the US/Britain. All nations can do this.
Though the fact we must spawn in a CAP aircraft ot deal with CAS but other nations like the Soviets dont have to is incredibly annoying and unfair.
Its one shot by everything with ease meanwhile Pantsir is just empty air. I’ve seen too many just survive an AGM-65 or Brimstone because reasons.
Its barely smaller and what hull down positions?
Its so slow that it will always be in the spawn points, so it takes seconds to locate unless you have your eyes closed for some reason.
Though you might never see them because no one bothers bringing them. I know I just use the Stormer HVM at top tier over the ADATS. If I even bother playing top tier at all. With 0 competitive MBTs, 0 competitive light tanks/IFVs and no SPAA. Britain doesnt really have any top tier vehicles worth bringing
agreed. like I said before, they just lack the “best heli spaa” part of the combo.
on the other side, you don’t have to spawn a jet to defeat a competent ka-52.
adats tanks missiles with empty missile racks, while hitting the pantsir there results in death by blast. could be the game shitting itself, i dunno. I tk them a lot, never really encountered issues like what you say.
starting to question whether you have ever faced a competent ADATS player in a helicopter. the pantsir is like 2 times longer and it is also taller. nothing stops an adats from moving away from spawn, and as a tracked vehicle, it has better performance on low speeds, especially in mud. you can easily pop in and out of cover.
Short answer. As the Teapache is an easy kill by any top tier SPAA, and rarely you can get off the heli pad before being shot down. I simply never take the the Teapache. I would if it was more like 11.0. But at 12.0, its just a waste of time and energy.
ADATS vs any CAS, even very weak ones, is just a free kill.
Because it’s not relevant
Helis are almost irrelevant
F+F Spike/PARS scrape some relevance and the ADATS fairs about as well as anything else vs AH-60/UHT, and as you say the ADATS is great until you get absolutely smoked by a Kh-38, shame there’s no one playing Su-30/34 these days, surely there’d be complaints if there was :^)
you’ve heard the “ka-52 main’s” opinion on this, and that’s all I can say now. you can either choose to play the adats against helicopters or vice versa—you’ll see how on point I am on this topic. no further reply needed
Sure, the ADATS might be more effective than some at killing helis, but its minimal.
The ADATS is useless vs the other 99% of top tier CAS.
Which means that most of the time. Its simply not worth ever spawning in a ADATS because you’ll just be immediately sniped by a KH-38 long ebfore you get a shot off at a KA-52.
Instead, if there is an enemy heli, that hasnt been dealt with by any other SPAA on my team and IF I can afford it, I’ll just bring in the Typhoon and hit it with a Brimstone. Its more effective and I can do more than just shoot down that 1 heli.
As it stands. I simply dont play top tier. Challenger 2, ADATS and Desert Warrior is a useless top tier line-up and I might as well instead just play the Challenger Mk2, Stormer HVM and Desert Warrior, aloing with the Jaguar GR1A if I want to play GRB
Live long enough to see people complaining about the BMP-2M/Sprut being undertiered. Two big boxy vehicle. One can only snipe and itself isn’t even that great at sniping. The other is another big fat boxy IFV which is not even that fast and need to drop on enemy to kill anything (and the thing is pretty damn loud). No wonder we never get anything done in this game. The 2S38 gonna stay the same , cry about it lmao
What’s your point here ? ALL tank are just “big fat boxy vehicle” so ?
I guess you’re talking about Sprut being only able to snipe and well if to you USSR main having a 600+ pen dart isn’t enough on a light vehicle at this Br and doesn’t make undertiered you’ve a massive coping issue.
Plus yeah Sprut is a light meaning he have to be played as so.
BMP-2M have the best Tandem in game, have a pretty decent dart and is able to lock on air target again as said by other players here he is faster than most light or on par in that specific domain.
2S38 is spammed at top tier and “cry about it” isn’t an argument at all so nothing to respond on that you’ve zero argument.
As your nickname on forum doesn’t correspond to any game profil i’ll assume you’re a one trick USSR main and i’ll advise you to try on some other nation !
Before anything I would like to say that I am not a “Main”. I don’t spam a single nation or align myself to any nation, I simply move on when im done with one nation and im not reading all of that. Cope seeth and mald, the 2S38 is not gonna move up.
Sprut is very good but also has very strong downsides like gunhandling of a battleship and it dies to 50 cal. and of course the russian classic of no gun dwpression.
It could move up a little bit, but it’s definitely not op.
I quite enjoy my BMP-2M and i found him pretty solid !
The Sprut have downside but if i make the comparison with CV90-105 and CV90-120 :
CV90-105 is 10.3 more agile indeed but Sprut have the upper hand on the ammunition.
CV90-120 is 11.7 and yet again Sprut ammunition is better while Sprut is sitting at 10.0.
In itself Sprut is a pretty good vehicle and i don’t think him as an OP vehicle if i only look at him and his equipments.
BUT him sitting at 10.0 give him the possibility to be downtiered at 9.0.
Additionally you’ve to think :
What make a vehicle bad/normal/strong/OP ?
To me a good indicator is the ability of a vehicle to be uptiered and yet be consistent and/or be easy to play.
With his ammunition Sprut is really consistent on top tier and is able to work effectively on top tier.
On this specific topic i only talk about russian vehicle being not at their due Br. BUT vehicle like that to me are indeed in others nation : Begleitpanzer for exemple.
In a nutshell there is a lack of consistency in the BR attribution and some vehicle should be way higher or way under. It’s not an USSR thing BUT it does contribute to the hegemony of the nation. Giving the possibility to be way more difficult to get out of the game to USSR players.
