True, thats the reason Id take centurion with 20 pounder instead. 6.3s is “okay I can deal with that” but 15s is straight up mental torture. I wonder what changed in chieftains and challengers that reload suddenly dropped to 7.5 and 5 seconds.
brother I want to play the tempest and I don’t enjoy air RB, but I almost enjoy facing tiger 2s with unstabilized 17 pounders even less
Anything with a KV-chassis is just better than any Churchill at their respective BRs (yes the Black Prince is a Churchill).
Hot take of the century: the T58 is way dumber than the terminator ever was. The ONLY reason people do not complain about the T58 nearly as much is because it’s exclusively a premium and also it’s not russian. The T58 is actively ruining the 8.x BR bracket right now, genuinely it’s god awful to play unless you are an american player or on america’s team. As much as I really do enjoy the conqueror and britain’s 7.7 tanks in general, I cannot queue them because between the Maus and the T58, most games are just gonna blow. I’m not queueing 4.7 britain because the Churchill VII got buffed (but that does help), I’m doing it because it’s really one of the only BR ranges that I have access to that isn’t completely miserable to play and thanks to crew leveling playing another nation is just not fun either.
Rest assured, as someone who has been grinding USSR 8.7 lately, I can almost guarantee you that the T58 will go up with the next BR changes.
And if it doesn’t, there will be so many recommendations in the thread it’ll probably still go up.

It shouldn’t go up. Couple reasons for this is the fact that the armor is going to be absolutely obsolete and it would be basically a light tank. so Instead It’s round should be nerfed and the reload needs to increase from 2.6 → 3.5. This will make it still fun to play as you’ll reload faster then most tanks and still be able to kill them but instead of 1 tapping them you would need to shoot 2 or 3 times.
brother the armor is already arguably fake, it’s just a volumetric shitstorm. It’s an inherently unhealthy and unbalancable vehicle that really shouldn’t be in the game and would need a reload of at least 7 seconds to be remotely balanced, plus have its hesh neutered.
As dumb as the Terminator was (and maybe still is), it at least had some form of maximum range where it stopped being effective, whether that came into practice very often is a different question but it didn’t have a “kill that guy at every range” button. Don’t misconstrue me, the Terminator was very stupid and deserved its nerfs but it had some weaknesses beyond the inherent weakness of its tank type.
I have very little faith given it didn’t move up with the previous BR changes, but hey who knows what the hell gaijin is thinking at any given time
I believe it will do so this time because thanks to the sales the number of T58’s running amok has increased exponentially. There is not a single battle between 8.7 and 9.3 that you won’t find at least one playing, though its often two or three. Sometimes even more.

I had exactly one (1) 8.7 game where there wasn’t a T58 in the game. It was also one of two (2) good games I had playing my 8.3 lineup today. CAN YOU GUESS WHO WAS ON MY TEAM IN THE OTHER GAME??? (here’s a hint, I wasn’t shooting at T58s). Any BR that can see 8.7 games is genuinely unplayable right now if you aren’t playing america. It’s somehow worse than 4.0 britain and 4.0 britain is ungodly terrible right now thanks to gaijin deciding that the KV-1 just didn’t have enough variants in the game.
And it wouldn’t even be so bad if you weren’t almost forced to reflex shoot the turret because of the thing’s stupid reload. “Just go for the ammo bro” have you ever seen an M103 chassis? You need a second to actually aim for a part that isn’t going to volumetric. It’s like if the Maus was actually good and not just really annoying. Unironically put the T58 to like 13.0.
It likely won’t. Some how it’s KDr dropped from a 2.18 to like a 2.01 and is continuing to drop because people apparently can’t kill 7.7s - 8.7s with it…

the tiger 2 is so babyproof that this is impossible. I think a 5 year old could do reasonably well in a tiger 2 on the right map
It’s genuinely incredible how many WT players make the active choice to make the 8.x BR bracket unplayable just to grind america a little better. Like yeah dude you definitely like this game and you show that by making the active choice to make it worse. I don’t think a single T58 player has ever played a Churchill with the exception of Spookston
