It’s really not the APDS that makes it a monster, it’s the APIT (APHE) that only needs to penetrate once to kill the whole crew

It’s the angeling. As I’ve literally said over and over again.
And I showed and tested that the difference isn’t that big and that on average the KV-1A is worse than the Zis-5 especially when angling because the armor is more thin when angled next to the Zis-5
So looks like moving the Re.2005(VDM) to 6.3 in both air and ground was intentional?
Where is the logic to moving an aircraft to a BR with zero ground vehicles for ground RB?
Why is ground RB BR still being tied to air RB BR for low tier? Anti tank capability and low altitude performance are much more important in ground RB, so BRs should be considered differently.

My T-34-57 pumped 3 aphe shots into the flank (2 body, 1 turret) of a KV-85 and it still returned fire and killed me.
Not exactly what I’m talking about, but sounds like you should maybe aim better. One shot of 57mm APHE should blast the turret crew no problem

LOL - I aimed at back-3rd of turret, then mid body, then forward body.
Gaijin’s damage models are unpredictable and at times very goofy.
The APDS is not the issue. The issue is the magical APHE APIT rounds that seep into tiny invisible cracks in armor and nuke your crew instantly.

Kv tanks have a lot of room, for a 57mm that’s a bit of a feat, sure it can be done, but it will likely require 2 shots.
I think BMPT spam killed top tier for me. I have much more fun playing 9.3BR Japan & Germany or 10.0BR Israel. That didn’t use to be the case.
11.7BR isn’t high enough for the BMPT imo
It shreds through everything it faces
12.3BR or 12.7BR is recommended
The T58 should probably be 9.0BR instead of 8.7BR

It isn’t an Air RB/SB issue. This is about the Ground RB BR
BR won’t matter, it’s a bandaid fix the BMPT needs to have its damage model corrected but with how much money it makes gaijin won’t do that

BMPT is easykill. with t72 or ZTZ96a or my leopard 2a4(10,7Br) or wolfpack is only 1 shot and BMPT is dead. BMPT is not strong. give APFDS from 2s38 and BMPT can go on 12,7 :) HSTVL, 2s38,ajax. PUMA(10.0Br) this is CANCER! BMPT is easykill. learn how kill easy BMPT.
Giving the APFSDS from the 2s38 makes no sense… they’re two ENTIRELY different cannons.
One is a 30mm the other is a 57mm.
Case length is way different etc.

It probably took the Maus much more time to get into a position only to be track and barrel torture.
I use APCR on lower tier tanks when I face Jumbos. It takes awhile but eventually I get them. Love seeing the panic when I pierce the turret face.
Russian 57mm doesn’t mess around, it has good pen and does a shitload of damage with over 20g TNT equivalent. Sure this is not guaranteed to take out 3/4 crew, but the KV won’t be doing very good after surviving the first shot
What needs to be noted is that just like with many other russian tanks it does have protective fuel tanks that you really need to avoid. They can eat multiple shots and get you killed real fast
