If you don’t struggle with shooting there consistently, then there should be no issues shooting for the machinegun port of the Panthers, or their Cupolas, and especially not their mantlets.
They’re doing fine. At least most of them.
The IS-2 (1944) has more of an issue now than the KV-220 ever did.
At least it gets APHE, unlike the Type 69. Type 69’s best round is either HEATFS or APFSDS, both of which are crap too.
I don’t think so.
You didn’t even explain why you think the Vickers Mk.1 is fine at 8.0 😅
It’s better than the Leopard I and the other 8.0s because of the 5s reload and full stabilizer… all while having good turret rotation speed and decent mobility.
Let’s say its penetration becomes ~100mm.
That would still be better than the 5s reload M61 shot.
Churchilll III gets a stab and 4s reload compared to the Churchill NA75, which has a 5s reload and uses M61 shot.
The Churchill III would be objectively better from what I can tell.
Maybe 4.0, but 4.3 seems to make sense considering they would probably be equally as good as the M4A2.
What I submitted in the official BR change post is what I settled on. Probably shouldn’t have done it as a list, but it’s all there if you want to copy from it.
Again you don’t own the tank, nor have ever played it. When I got it, 3-4 months back. I had out of 20 games 45% of games were 7.0, 45% of 6.7 and 10% were 6.0 I never got a single 6.3 match.
Jumbo 76 has a low speed stab, and can bounce 85mms pretty reliably. Has a better reload, and a roof mounted HMG.
That “little” weakspot gets hit far more often than you think, and I blame an old damage model.
The panthers machine gun port and turret face can be a bit trolly.
Something needs to happen for sure. 3.7 tanks are 1 popping… while tanks with AP only have to do 5 pin point shots… at same BR is about as bad as it gets in the balancing dept
Churchill III and Valentine IX are bugged atm. Valentine IX has a 6-pdr Mk.V labled as a Mk.III, and the Churchill III has a 6-pdr Mk.III labeled as a Mk.V. Both cases have been reported, but apparently having the wrong gun only warrants being “forwarded as a suggestion”.
If the Pz.IV H had its gun marked as the L/43 instead of the L/48, there would be a riot and it would be fixed in a month. But since it’s British tanks in this case…
I agree with the machine gun port being trolly, but the turret mantlet isn’t that hard if you aim properly.
For the most part, yes.
The IS-2 is mediocre but it’s not too bad at 6.3. The 6.7 one, though, is terrible compared to the other great 6.7s but also shouldn’t be 6.3 (hence why we need more decompression).
Well, those 3.7s have reloads, and mobility or armour on their side.
The other AP-only tanks may be slightly underpowered, though a lot of them are pretty good at their BRs – for example the Black Prince, M4A1 (FL10) and Challenger.
Not really? Sherman feels very similar without checking, gets stabilizer and a round that 1 pops.
I feel no advantage at all, as even vs enemy with longer reloads, they still get their shots away before your 3-5 or whatever is needed with ap
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good. But it’s very slow and only has AP / APDS.
KV220 is just as good, if not better because of its one-shot potential and mobility over it.
Remember when people talked about how mobility is key? Or at least a major factor in whether or not a tank is good.
For being slow and little to no one-shot capability.
Slow doesn’t really matter until you notice that you typically can’t get into the battlefield before your team crumbles and enemy tanks surround you / pushes up and you get no kills.
And why are you spawning it in uptiers? Like all armor dependant tanks, it just makes sense to build your lineup in such a way that you have other tanks you can rely on when you’ve been uptiered. The Soviet 6.0 lineup isn’t exactly vast, but does feature a couple TDs which can hang in uptiers just fine. You don’t have to force yourself to play it outside of where it works.
It’s how I’ve managed a nearly 3.0 KD in my Maus. If I take out Germany 7.7, and see that I’ve been fully uptiered, or I’ve been put on a huge map, I just… don’t spawn it until I have to. I use the more flexible tanks in the lineup. I save the Maus for when it’s at it’s strongest.
