Greece - Israel

As a Cypriot I would’ve loved it as a “Cyprus” tree, having Turkey and Greece being the bulk of it though. I think that’d be the only way to not get other Turks or Greeks pissed (if Turkey is main tree, Greeks might feel inferior and vice versa)

I remember ppl talking abt Chile having lots of connection with Israel.

u turks ,cypriots and greeks are the same, i think cyprus and greece should be subrees for turkey as turkish people are just greek muslims and viseversa u guys are Christian turks. you guys would fit nicley under turkey since turkey has more unique veichles than both greece and cyprus combines.ur subtree under the turkish banner

Greece and Cyprus should be part of the Israeli tech tree.

I have seen many Greeks against being in Israel, mainly on social media, on YouTube channels and when they announced it on Instagram, even right here on the forum

So like ROC should never be part of the CCP tech tree, but what does it matter? None of you matters unless you are communist barbarian

I’m glad that Greece is coming into the light, being given a spotlight in War Thunder.
The Greek flag will be on many more vehicles with the coming sub-tree, and the representation is anticipated.

Of course, they will not be under any other nation’s flag for that’s not how War Thunder operates.

Honestly this whole ordeal regarding Cyprus and Greece seems really misplaced from the developer’s side.

To start, what kind of connections in the first place have they made to JUSTIFY PROPERLY the inclusion of both Cyprus and Greece to Israel? As a Latin American War Thunder player, I think we should be the ones added to the Israeli tech tree, as historically speaking, Israel has been the defense partner of choice for this region, just to mention a few and the aircraft in (and past) service:

Ecuador: Kfir C.2 and CE (C.10), Mirage F1 JE & JA

Ecuadorian Air Force — Kfir CE

Ecuadorian Air Force — Mirage F1JA

Colombia: Kfir C.2, C.7, COA (C.10) and the C.10 Block 60 variants

Colombian Air Force — Kfir COA (C.10)

Chile: F-5E Tiger III, Mirage 50CN Pantera

Chilean Air Force — F-5E Tiger III

Chilean Air Force — Mirage 50CN Pantera

Brazil: F-5EM

Brazilian Air Force — F-5EM

For what I’ve noticed so far, the usual pattern for implementing sub-tree nations to a tree seems to be that either they must:

  • Share territorial proximity
  • Share or have shared military partnerships
  • Have common historical background (optional)

As an Israeli main, I am deeply opposed to this implementation because it seems to violate in every way the (questionable but somewhat perceivable) standard that has been implemented for nation sub-trees.

In my opinion, I think Israel (to the disdain of some) should cover the nations of the Middle East and Latin America, which seem far more natural for the nation and which follow at least two out of the parameters mentioned before for a “seamless” integration. With this information in hand, the Israeli tech tree could be justifiably supplemented, in total or partially, with the following Middle Eastern nations and their aircraft:

Saudi Arabia: Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A, Panavia Tornado IDS, F-15C Eagle

Royal Saudi Air Force — Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A

Royal Saudi Air Force — F-15C Eagle

Egypt: Dassault Rafale F3, F-16A/C Fighting Falcon, Mirage 2000EM, MiG-29M

Egyptian Air Force — Dassault Rafale F3

Egyptian Air Force — MiG-29M

United Arab Emirates: Mirage 2000-9EAD, Dassault Rafale F4, F-16E/F Block 60 Fighting Falcon.

United Arab Emirates Air Force — Mirage 2000-9EAD

United Arab Emirates Air Force — F-16F Block 60

Qatar: Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A, Dassault Rafale F3

Qatar Emiri Air Force — Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A

Qatar Emiri Air Force — Dassault Rafale F3

Syria: MiG-23MF/ML/MLD, MiG-29SE/SM/SMT, MiG-21MF/bis.

Syrian Air Force — MiG-29SMT

Captured Syrian Air Force Aircraft — MiG-23

Iran: MiG-29 9.12B, F-14A Tomcat, Saeqeh, Kowsar, Azarakhsh, F-4E/D Phantom II, F-5E/F Tiger II, J-7N, Mirage F1EQ

Iranian Air Force — MiG-29 9.12B

Iranian Air Force — HESA Saeqeh

Kuwait: F/A-18C Hornet, F/A-18E Super Hornet, Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A

Kuwait Air Force — F/A-18E Hornet

Kuwait Air Force — Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 3A

Bahrain: F-16C/D Block 40, F-16V Block 70

Royal Bahraini Air Force — F-16V Block 70

Please note that this suggestions list has been made for noting purposes, I highly encourage the developers to include the most interesting variants of the aircraft mentioned before in favor of the experience of whoever may choose to play these aircraft, as the inclusion of original or rare aircraft variants is what I consider drives the community forward.

So thats what you spent so long typing out lol,
Honestly whatever gives Israel the most futureproofed aircraft and variety, my issue with LATAM is that their aircrafy typically fit better as premiums or individual tech tree additions than a whole subtree, whereas Greece or UAE have a clear path of progression and competitive aircraft, at the cost of being controversial

Yes, I totally understand the point, that’s why I also clarified to add the rest of the Middle Eastern nations as a valid option because they integrate well into the Israeli tech tree and the overall theme of it

I’m on the fence about an Arab-Israeli tree, given the history, but it would help alieviate some of the political burden on the Israeli tree, as we catch a ton of flak just for playing it.

Although I think keeping the more russian-aligned states like syria, iran, iraq well away is a sensible Idea, while Qatar, the UAE and Saudi each make for decent additions

Also, I think LATAM can pretty much fill the bracket of 12.7 - 13.3 quite nicely, as well as other vehicles like the missing Israeli modernizations like the MiG-21 2000.

I personally think that the bracket mentioned before could benefit greatly from the addition of Latin American vehicles, while also being enriched by the Middle Eastern nations through 13.0 - 14.3 and the many BR’s to come

I personally do not give as much of a care regarding the politicized nature of Israel as a nation in War Thunder, mainly because it WILL remain politicized as long as Gaijin refuses to add Israeli vehicles to trailers, which are the main exposure material for the game

I agree, as long as we see the modified Mirages and Kfirs, as opposed to American aircraft, as Israel needs more recognition of it’s export market through aircraft like the Kfir 2000 and LATAM additions.

I don’t really see the benefit of seeing LATAM F-16s since they have nothing to add besides a paint scheme

Don’t worry, I’m mainly in favor of modernized LATAM aircraft, proposing Argentinian or Chilean F-16’s where the Israeli input has been kept practically minimal is quite the hassle and also against the fun factor I am trying to strive by suggesting Latin vehicles

Also, where Atlas Cheetah Gaijin?

I think I should restate the fact that Israeli aircraft in the game are artificially held behind their realistic capabilities. Therefore the tree does not need any aircraft from any nation.

Gaijin is adding the Subtree for variety, something almost every other tree gets plenty of access to, why should it be any different for Israel?

Imagine begging to be a subtree of a non-Latin America tech tree… Are you one of the no votes on the Latin America tech tree suggestion?

@efetenekeci
Zero aircraft are artificially held back.
Aircraft are implemented in a manner the devs genuinely think is accurate.
All aircraft in War Thunder have correct munitions as well.

Sufa carried Python 4s, which I cannot see right now. These are artificial nerfs that occured during the development phase of the game and I can understand (Magic 2s being released without IRCCM) but they should not be used as an excuse to introduce non-domestic aircraft from x sub nation because “y nation does not have capable vehicles”

Let’s say I hate variety and want trees to have different capabilities.

And I am sick of half baked sub trees with minimal original content
