I’ve been playing War Thunder for many years, and it’s disappointing to be met with this kind of treatment as a Greek player. Cyprus being part of the Greek tech tree would make sense as an additional branch but placing Greece and Cyprus under the Israeli flag feels completely wrong.
It’s almost absurd to see our country hidden away like it doesn’t deserve recognition. If this approach continues, then at least be consistent either start showing combined flags for shared tech trees or reconsider this decision entirely.
I don’t take this lightly. Greece deserves proper representation, not to be placed under another nation’s flag. I was expecting to see Greece possibly aligned with the U.S., or even Russia but definitely not under Israel.
Like as i said Israel is the last nation you have france,Germany,Britain and italy if your going to add Greece to israel your going to do copy paste just copy paste bringing western vehicles

As much as I can agree with you and as a Greek kinda have place to speak better than others but just by the fact that Greece and Cyprus being represented yet not being game changer content to the game is a great step further. Nations additions and such are most dependant on necessity, Israel as itself, in my opinion didn’t worked out as a standalone tech tree offerring little of new content to the game which could’ve been better as American sub-tech tree.
USSR and USA seems to be the last option for newer sub-tech trees by sheer number of available vehicles. I could see some spot for Greece in the American tech tree and Cyprus perhaps in Sovietic, maybe. However this seems to not be the plan. One thing that I don’t like about discussions like these is the national pride—“a nation can only be represented in my way and my way only, otherwhise is wrong or offensive.”; this same line of thought that stopped the Thai VT-4 from being introduced along side with complains about inaccuracies with Chinese vehicles.
Personally this is not the moment for any new sub-tech tree letalone tech tree to the game. If I could choose what to do: fixing the issues with the current tech trees and vehicles inaccuracies would’ve been the top priority.
The whole subtrees thing needs to be reworked (nation folders), but they just keep insisting on adding new subtrees as low-effort patches to issues that could probably be easily fixed if they got their heads out of the dirt.
sure israel needs more stuff, but the thing is they have indigenous options. Gaijin is doing this so they can ignore fixing the merkavas because they tossed a 2a6 variant into the tree. Greek vehicles would be better if they were represented in the trees that produced them (ie: 2a6 to germany, m2k & rafale to france)
This poll is pointless and there’s no other empty spot than Israel excluding USA and USSR: Germany now has Switzerland; Great Britain has South Africa; Italy has Romania. If we do include USA and USSR, the available options for Greek and Cyprus increases by two, which again I highly doubt these two will ever have a sub-tech tree soon.
This might the best option to fix two issues in one take: represent more nations (which honestly, lack of an nation isn’t a issue) and new content to justify the fact that Israel is a standalone tech tree other than a forced content to the game. People will highly disagree with sub-tech tree for USA and USSR as seen recently.
It’s not about politics, it’s about giving random vehicles from a nation with so much potential, to another that could have many issues fixed if they’d just put the proper effort into fixing the Merkavas.
This subtree nonsense is seriously getting on my nerves now. Really.
Just make standalone nations, even very small ones and rework the RP research thing, but please stop with all this nonsense!
