Its the best fox 3 slinger when compared to all the other 3rd gen fox 3 slingers. Its ridiculous it gets to be 13.0 lol

I slightly prefer the j8f (better fm and missile imo plus hmd) over the trade off of having 2 less arh missiles , although I agree the phantom is likely the best 13.0 arh slinger

Because it was quite bad at 13.0 without them, and IRCCM missiles on 3rd gen planes at 13.0 are a thing. It alongside several other 13.0s should go to 13.3, and all current 13.3+ planes should go up by 0.3 to decompress.

4 AIM 120, great radar, and 4 AIM 9M, or you could use the JA37Di with 2x 9L and 4 AIM 120, also similar poor flight model to the phantom. Trade off being more CM’s also a far worse RWR on the Viggen. Compression is a wonderful thing.

13.3 just needs decompressing. 50% of what is at 13.0 should be 0.3 higher. (and a lot of that isnt just fox-3 slingers, as many are fine at 13.0 but many Fox-1 slingers should be 13.3)

Yeah that’s why I like the j8, better rwr than viggen , better missiles imo than both, and hms and imo better radar as it gets f16 radar instead of fa18 radar or viggen radar. Plus it accelerates and turns much better than either of them

I love the ICE, but its FM makes reacting in BVR kinda cumbersome, and if anyone merges, being a Phantom with no HMS makes things…difficult, to say at least.

BOL would kinda help but the lack of good mobility as its worse than most non agile eagle phantoms and has the worst RWR is but a drop in a pool of mediocrity

Yeah. 13.0 needs spreading across at least 2 BRs, maybe even 3.

But at least a large, and very good defensive suit would help mitigate those weaknesses

Yeah, Im the same with the FA2 outside of SB and even then, with the current compression and shoddy maps. Its not fun
