Great Britain Extended Ground Forces Tree

Biggest changes:

  • I’ve removed all Commonwealth vehicles from the tree. The only vehicles remaining are British - both domestic and export, and lend-lease vehicles.
  • I’ve turned all the low tier Cruisers into Mediums, as there’s now a dedicated light line.
  • Some individual classification changes to other vehicles, for example all Valentines are now Heavy Tanks and the Avenger is a Tank Destroyer again.

I largely made this to show that Great Britain doesn’t need a Commonwealth sub-tree and they would be better used as a combined Commonwealth nation.

This is still a very much work in progress. Some BR’s are certainly not final and I would love input on where some higher tier vehicles should be placed. I’m also missing a lot of missile armed vehicles and Challenger variants, largely because I’m unsure where they should go.

There’s still a great deal of vehicles missing.

I know, I was tempted to add at least 2 more to fill out the folder but can’t choose which ones. I was thinking the Vickers MBT at 8.3 as at least that offers mobility compared to the Chieftain one.

No, you definetly showed us that they sure asf need it. 2 to 5 copypaste vehicles in folders sounds like german main dream, not the player of the game :/
And a lack of interesting prototypes with c+p trophies in premiums makes me sad aswell

Thanks for the input, as I said it’s not finished yet. Still tons of vehicles missing.

The point of folders is that you don’t have to research everything and they can be skipped. Also, what missing prototypes? I added tons.

New vehicles:

  • A9 Mk I
  • A13 Mk IIA
  • A13 Mk IIA 1940
  • A10 Mk I
  • A10 Mk IA
  • A14: Prototype
  • A16: Prototype
  • Light Mk VI (2-Pdr): Prototype
  • Universal Carrier (2-Pdr): Prototype
  • Universal Carrier (Smith Gun): Prototype
  • Armadillo III (37mm)
  • Loyd (25-Pdr): Prototype
  • Archer (25-Pdr): Prototype
  • Bishop
  • Valentine SP (6-Pdr): Prototype
  • Deacon
  • Humber AA Mk I
  • Beaverette AA: Prototype
  • Light AA (15mm): Prototype
  • Light Mk VIC
  • Humber Mk III
  • Humber Mk I (20mm): Prototype
  • Humber Mk IV
  • Coventry Mk I
  • Staghound Mk I
  • A/T 1
  • Medium III: Prototype
  • A7E3: Prototype
  • Stuart (18-Pdr): Field conversion.

That’s just rank 1, 29 completely new vehicles and 13 of those are prototypes. There’s only one new copy-paste vehicle in Rank 1 and that’s the Locust Mk I - which was built for the British and saw combat with the British.

+1 I really wish that the commonwealth would go into its own tech tree (CANZAC, India etc.) and this shows that they aren’t necessary for Britain.

looking at pairs of A13/A10/Humber?
Idk

tho first rank brings lesser worries as many machines there really are distinct, tho i`d cut the amount of lookalikes by half. More comes at higher ranks - clones of Archers, Challengers, Comets, Cromwells, Centurions… Yes the text differs them by some. But that usually ends up with “no X shot” :/

that`s a good point

This looks great, I personally just want to see the WW2 and cold war section expanded as I find them the funnest and most interesting part of the tree.

Also i think that more lend-lease vehicles are due (wouldn’t even be totally copy paste, many had decent modifications)

Lastly +100000 for staghound I

Thanks I’m still working on it, there’s still a good 2-3 dozen odd vehicles I’m missing. Such as SPG’s and missile carriers. Just trying to find good BR’s for them.

Many of these have different weapons, armour, engines, or fire control.

The Cromwell’s for example:

  • Mark VI: Has a 95mm Howitzer, slightly different version as the one on the Alecto I. Basically the British version of the M4A3 (105).
  • Mark V: Is the 75mm version.
  • Mark I: Is the 6-Pdr version, corrected to an L/50 rather than the L/43 Gaijin currently gave it.
  • Mark VwD: Is a 75mm version, but with 101.6mm of front turret armour and 88.9mm of front hull armour.

Is the Ford F60L similar to this by chance

To my knowledge this was also used by Canada and the UK

Look at that beautiful tech tree, i honestly wish gaijin prioritized adding the original british vehicles first and the copy paste as a last resource, a while ago they added those 2 stuarts to the british tree, i wish they added something like the A9, A10, A7E3 or the Covernant, even the A14 or A16 experiments instead of those Stuarts.

Because now that they added the harry hopkins, no one uses the stuars, people barely even used them before, now they’re pointless copy paste, i wish they add something unique to low tier Britain next update too.

Or maybe more than 1 thing!

The one at 2.7 is the triple polsten version. :)

Have any closer images of it by chance?

What caliber are those?

It should be 20mm as that is what the Polsten was.

One of 4 types of 20mm mounts found, at least that was put on a truck.

  • Single
  • Double
  • Triple
  • Qaud

Oh nice

Yeah, should be a decent replacement for the old AEC AA BR.
