Gound magnets, a fix for an issue that never existed

so everyone is familiar with the magic magnets that pull your aircraft into the ground when your PL goes even slightly over 5% PL.

this is supposedly a thing to combat “lag switching” however it activates at PL percentages that are too low.

there is also the fact that lag switching is not an issue in air rb (nor it ever was) due the fact that the aircraft is mostly rendered in the server (see desyinc shots),if a player were do be desynced, this would in fact hurt the player using lag switch rather than the enemy (LS player would be getting hit by missiles miles away/shots, rather than his causing the issue).

the ground magnet should be removed or changed to a higher PL % (like 70% or higher)

Had a game yesterday where I nearly died twice being pulled into the ground and I didn’t see my PL go over 3%, unless it was a split second spike. It’s cancerous.

i have died more times to being pulled to the ground than enemies on the past week or so

Disable option “Auto-restrict control of the aircraft near ground” in Controls/Aircraft/instructor.

That’s a different thing, he is talking about when your connection starts to lag and you plane suddenly flies straight at the ground.

I always have pretty not great ping and can often have PL just sitting around 5% but the only time I have issues is when my PL is at supposedly 0%

mind you Ive also had an air match where I had like 3 seconds of ping and didnt get kicked for some reason

Ahh, OK, my bad. That is also started happening to me in last month or so. Whatever I do on the internet its fine but WT starts good than suddenly PL and ping skyrockets for no apparent reason.

I believe its connected to ground visual improvements not being optimized fully.

i think its just their servers being kinda awful, there is no other explanation
