I would be fine with these if they were incomplete prototypes. Like having the engine, frame, radar, and plans to be armed. Things to show that they were at least planned to fly at one point
They did have those but people make it sound like they were from some TV series about an alternate universe of some sort.
Did the vehicle have a test flight?
A: Yes
B: No
if the answer is anything other than A, its a fictitious vehicle. In the same way wooden mockups don’t count, non-flight capable prototypes do not count. Simple as.
Hated on for not applying bug reports with declassified documents that give clear evidence of the real performance of a plane, bug reports that they sometimes literally accept and then don’t apply.
Do I really need to tell you all about the Harrier?
Ah, I see. I do remember on how the fanbase was reporting about the faulty damage model of sweep-wing aircrafts. I do recognize your point
Just to make sure you realize it fully, please take a look at this
I suppose it just depends on the person. I understand you wouldn’t like Concept Vehicles in the game due to no flight data etc. but I am simply saying an opinion and I do appreciate for telling me your opinion.
That’s really interesting…I’ll dive deeper into it more soon. Thank you for sharing this information to me.
I’d really like the F2Y Sea Dart to come to the game, either as an event vehicle or a premium, at around BR 9.0 – 9.3.
The Convair F2Y Sea Dart was an experimental supersonic seaplane fighter-interceptor developed by the United States during the early Cold War.
- Role: Experimental fighter / interceptor
- Nation: United States
- Manufacturer: Convair
- First flight: 1953
- Operational status: Prototype / experimental

Performance
- Maximum speed:
- Mach 1.25 (approx. 1,300 km/h) at altitude
- Climb rate:
- Approximately 7,000 ft/min (varied by configuration)
- Service ceiling:
- Around 50,000 ft (15,200 m)
- Range:
- ~800 km (estimated, prototype dependent)
Powerplant
- Engines:
- 2 × Westinghouse J46-WE-2 turbojet engines
- Thrust:
- ~5,800 lbf (26 kN) each (with afterburner)
Armament (Planned / Conceptual)
- 4 × 20 mm cannons (nose-mounted)
- Provision for unguided rockets
- Early consideration for air-to-air missiles (never fully integrated)
Note: Armament was largely theoretical, as the aircraft never reached full combat configuration.
literally no way to bug report stuff for one
The Yak-141 already opened a can of worms. This is just gonna open a bigger one. And let’s be realistic, you think Gaijin is gonna add this two right away
Id get this
Iirc didn’t the XF5U-1 never have a proper flight? From what I can remember Smin say a while back, dreams come true events and scenarios where there aren’t any other available options result in a broader addition requirement (up to partially built)
Both XP-69 and XF-108 can be suggested AND implemented in the game, since they could be qualified for suggestions, per the suggestion guidelines.
XP-69 was 75% complete, which can be easily suggested as a future event reward.
I have to double-check with the XF-108. IIRC, some parts were built for it, such as the radar equipment, which was even tested.
Sadly, I tried to suggest F2Y Sea Dart, as I have found blueprints with planned armament. However, it was denied since the planned armament was for the production configuration, not for the prototype itself.
I’d like to see McDonnell Douglas/General Dynamics A-12 Avenger II in game someday. It was already suggested with evidence of specific parts fully constructed for it.
XF5U did not have an official flight at all. It only made hops into flight.
Personally would love to see this someday

The XF5U at least has Taxi records and did accidentally make short “hops” (yes, not flight- but the beginning of testing is better than the XF-108 which never even saw that
I can see these things coming into the game in the far future when we start scraping the barrel for aircraft, but as it stands unfinished prototypes and “projects” cough cough, Soviet top tier ships should be avoided until necessary.
Tbh the soviet top tier stuff was kinda necessary for it to not top of at the Revenge and Conte di Cavour class ships. Still crazy how Soyuz is a jumble of 3 separate configs iirc.
Yeah I know, I’m saying that the same necessity doesn’t exist in the American air tech tree of all places, it’s got more than enough aircraft that haven’t been added yet that I’d love to see (AJ-1 Savage, XA-2J Super Savage, F-101, F-94 off the top of my head).
